Answer: Elvis Presley

Elvis influenced the course of musical history and was the first artist to sell more than a billion records.
"The King" died aged 42 in 1977. His chart success now spans more years than his life.
2. We are a Motown singing group, fronted by William Robinson. We topped the US and UK charts with "Tears of a Clown" 1970.

Answer: The Miracles

William Robinson was, of course, better known as 'Smokey' Robinson and on later Motown recordings he was credited by name along with the group.
He also wrote and produced songs for many other Motown artists.
