3. This group boasted members Mercury, May, Deacon and Taylor:

Answer: Queen

The passing of Freddy Mercury (real surname Bulsara) all but ended the 'reign' of this powerhouse group.

Answer: Jefferson Airplane

Kinda tricky, I know, but the Airplane is imbedded in the roots of rock history. Not only have several groups formed from former members (most notably Hot Tuna) but members of other groups (Quicksilver Messenger Service, Elvin Bishop, the Turtles, Steelwind, etc.) have also migrated to the band.
7. Members of this band include Billingsley. Burns, Collins, two Gaines (siblings), Hawkins, King, Powell, Pyle, Rossington, VanZant and Wilkeson:

Later on, Ronnie's brother Johnny VanZant took over lead for the revised Skynyrd.

10. What group consisted of members Densmore, Kreiger, Manzarek and Morrison?

Answer: The Doors

11. This band had members including two Fogertys (siblings), Clifford and Cook:

Answer: Creedence Clearwater Revival

A bit of a throwback in the midst of the psychadelic 60's, many feel that C.C.R. was the genesis of southern rock...even though the band hailed from California.

Answer: Cream

Considered the first 'supergroup, the trio represented the best players of their respective instruments - the 'cream' of British rock musicianship, if you will.

Canada's own supergroup. John Rutsey was Rush's first drummer before being replaced by Neil Peart.
14. What group had two Evans, Johnson, Rudd, Scott, Slade, Williams, Wright and two Youngs?

Answer: AC/DC

A band who lost a lead singer (the late Bon Scott)and gained another (Brian Johnson) without losing a step on the road to becoming legendary in the hard rock genre.
15. What group consisted of members Battin, Clark, Clarke, Crosby, Hillman, McGuinn, two Parsons (not related) and White?

Other direct, or indirect, offshoots from the Byrds include, Souther, Hillman and Furay, the Buffalo Springfield and Firefall.
