Written by lead singer Steven Tyler, "Dream On" had a great blues-influenced sound. The single power ballad was to later become Aerosmith's first major hit. This single was released in June of 1973. Ironically John has won an Oscar as well, though it is for the song "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from "The Lion King" and not for acting.
