Answer: Dave and Ansil Collins

"Double Barrel" reached number one in March 1971, their next and final single to chart made it to number seven in June of 1971. The duo are not brothers as suggested, but Dave Barker and Ansil Collins.
2. Which ex-Hoochie Coochie Men vocalist went on to have have great success in the 1970s and beyond?

Answer: Rod Stewart

Rod Stewart had his first number one single in the UK in Sept 1971 with "Maggie May". The Hoochie Coochie Men never made it into the single or album charts.

Answer: "Son of my Father" - Chicory Tip

"Son of my Father" was a number one hit of Chicory Tip in Jan 1972. "It's Only Make Believe" by Child got to number 10 in July 1978. Christie was a group from the UK with "Yellow River" and their only number one. Tony Christie is better known for "(Is This the Way to) Amarillo?".

She wrote the song after seeing a then-unknown Don McLean perform live.

"Rubber Bullets" when went to number one in May 1973. Jonathan King came up with the name 10cc for the band it is claimed, in a dream one night.
