The song 'Big Yellow Taxi' was released in 1970 by Joni Mitchell. She wrote it in Hawaii and was inspired by a huge parking lot: "They paved paradise and put up the parking lot". 2. Tie A .... Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree (1973)

Answer: Yellow

'Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree', from Tony Orlando and Dawn, was released in 1973. The song was written by Irwin Levine and Larry Brown, and relates the true story of a convict returning from jail. 3. .... River Valley (Traditional)

Answer: Red

'Red River Valley' is a song of controversial origin. It has been titled 'Cowboy Love Song', 'Bright Sherman Valley', 'Bright Laurel Valley', 'In the Bright Mohawk Valley", and 'Bright Little Valley'.
The Red River Valley is a North American region drained by the Red River of the North. It sits across the Canadian/US border, in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Manitoba and offers relatively fertile lands. In the valley are the cities of Fargo, Moorhead, Grand Forks, and Winnipeg.

The first verse of the song is:
"From this valley they say you are going.
We will miss your bright eyes and sweet smile,
For they say you are taking the sunshine
That has brightened our pathway a while.
So come sit by my side if you love me.
Do not hasten to bid me adieu.
Just remember the Red River Valley,
And the one that has loved you so true."

You can do anything but lay off of my Blue suede shoes."

10. The .... Rose of Texas (Traditional)

Answer: Yellow

'The Yellow Rose of Texas' is a traditional folk song based on a Texas legend dating from the Texas War of Independence. The "Yellow" lady, a mulatto, would have seduced General Antonio López de Santa Anna, thus facilitating his defeat and later, his capture.
1858 version:
"There's a yellow rose in Texas that I am going to see,
No other soldier knows her, no soldier only me;
She cried so when I left her, it like to broke my heart,
And if I ever find her we never more will part."
