1. Please Forgive Me (1993)

Canadian singer Bryan Adams collaborated with fellow songwriters Robert Lange and Mutt Lange when they worked together in France during 1993 to create the single, "Please Forgive Me". This hauntingly beautiful song was written as a bonus track for the greatest hits album, "So Far So Good".
The official video was taken inside a recording studio and featured all the band members befriending the studio owner's dog as they recorded the song.
2. Hard to Say I'm Sorry (1982)

"Hard to Say I'm Sorry" was written by Peter Cetera who was an original member of the soft-rock group, Chicago. The song featured on the soundtrack of the film "Summer Lovers" which starred Peter Gallagher and Daryl Hannah. "Apologize" was a guitar anthem created by OneRepublic, an American band which became popular on the social networking site, Myspace. It was remixed in 2007 by hip-hop artist and rapper Timbaland (also featuring OneRepublic in the updated version). The single achieved international musical acclaim, topping the charts in Australia, Canada, Germany and Sweden. It featured the lyrics:

4. Sorry Suzanne (1969)

The Hollies was a British rock group first formed by Allan Clarke and Graham Nash in the 1960s. They were best known for their songs "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" and "The Air That I Breathe". When Graham Nash left the group in 1968, he was replaced by Terry Sylvester. "Sorry Suzanne" was the first song to feature the new band member and reached number three in the UK Singles Chart in 1969.
5. All Apologies (1993)

"All Apologies" was a track taken from the Nirvana album, "In Utero", and reached number 32 on the UK Singles Chart. It was released just under six months before troubled singer Kurt Cobain committed suicide on 5th April 1994. The song was dedicated to his wife Courtney Love, and their daughter, Francis Bean.
Although the lyrics mentioned being "married and buried", Kurt Cobain said that the mood of the song was supposed to evoke "peaceful, happy, comfort" thoughts for his wife and daughter.
6. Sorry (2015)

Canadian singer Justin Bieber became popular with teenagers from when he started his music career aged 13 years old. Performing in front of millions from an early age did not come without its consequences, as the young artist started rebelling and his antics made world news.
This did not stop him recording some wonderful melodies, including "Baby", "Boyfriend", "What Do You Mean", and the 2015 hit single, "Sorry". The lyrics included "Let me, oh let me redeem myself, I know that I've let you down". Bieber denied that it was an apology for his past misdemeanours, but was instead about the lost love for a girl.
7. Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word (1976)

One of the best known and well loved songs about telling someone you are sorry was this song written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin. Elton John was tinkering with a melody on his piano and the outcome was an evocative song pulsating with heartbreak. Bernie Taupin helped to add the lyrics, aided by the fact he had just divorced from his first wife and was feeling extremely vulnerable. Joe Cocker covered the song in 1991 and Blue in 2002 where it reached number one in the UK Singles Chart.
8. Who's Sorry Now? (1958)

With music and lyrics written by Ted Snyder, Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby, "Who's Sorry Now?" featured in the Marx Brothers film, "A Night in Casablanca" (1946). It was twelve years later when Connie Francis made it her own with her version peaking at number one in the UK Singles Chart.
Born in 1938, Concetta Maria Franconero made her first public appearance at the tender age of four, singing "O Solo Mio" accompanied by her trusty accordion. Her career started to waver by her late teens until her main breakthrough came with the release of "Who's Sorry Now?".
9. Sorry Not Sorry (2016)

Bryson Tiller is an American singer and rap artist who released his debut album, "Trapsoul", in 2015. It featured the single "Sorry Not Sorry". The song told of a gold digger who wanted to rekindle their relationship once the singer became rich, but he was not interested. With hard-hitting and often explicit words, Tiller believed in living out experiences to enable him to write his songs "It's hard for me to write without having anything to say, or anywhere to draw inspiration from. I've tried to go into the studio and make songs out of nowhere and I ended up making a real mediocre song."

These were just some of the lyrics sung by Brenda Lee in the 1960 song, "I'm Sorry". Written by Dub Albritton and Ronnie Self, Lee was only 15 years old when she recorded the song, but gave it a maturity that far outreached her age. The song peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. Another song she made famous was "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree", a festive favourite which has appeared with popularity every Christmas since its release in 1958.
