Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Take me to the room where the green's all green..."

Answer: Dragon Attack

From the album "The Game" (1980). This album was the first one by Queen that featured electronic keyboards (back then called synthesizers). The synthesizer they used was an Oberheim OBX.
2. "A built-in remedy for Kruschev or Kennedy..."

Answer: Killer Queen

From "Sheer Heart Attack" (1974). This was Queen's first American Top-40 hit.
3. "There goes my baby, she knows how to rock and roll..."

Answer: Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Another one from "The Game" (1980). It was Queen's first No. 1 song in the USA. "Another One Bites the Dust", from the same album, was Queen's other American No. 1 hit.
4. "Just surrender and it won't hurt at all..."

Answer: Hammer to Fall

From "The Works" (1984). When performed live, a second guitarist would appear onstage to play rhythm while Brian May performed the solo.
5. "Just take me back to yours, that will be fine..."

Answer: Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy

From "A Day at the Races" (1976). Both this album and "A Night at the Opera" (1975) were named for Marx Brothers movies.
6. "Well you're just 17 and all you wanna do is disappear..."

Answer: Sheer Heart Attack

From "News of the World" (1977). Written by Roger Taylor, this foray into punk rock shares its name with Queen's third album.
7. "I don't wanna be the President of America..."

Answer: Bicycle Race

From "Jazz" (1978). Considered the second half of a "double A-side" hit (with "Fat Bottomed Girls").
8. "It didn't matter if we won, if we lost..."

Answer: Was It All Worth It

From "The Miracle" (1989). This song, a look back through the years that Queen had been together, foreshadowed what would appear on 1991's "Innuendo".
9. "Ooh, baby, can't do this to me, baby..."

Answer: Bohemian Rhapsody

From "A Night at the Opera" (1975). Featured in the movie "Wayne's World" (1991), starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey. In 1976, it peaked at No. 9 in the USA. When re-released in 1992, it climbed to No. 2. Also, "Bohemian Rhapsody" is the first (and as far as I know, the only) song to hit No. 1 on two separate occasions in England.
10. "Mab is the queen and there's a good apothecary-man come to say hello..."

Answer: The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke

From "Queen II" (1974). This song was inspired by a painting of the same title by the artist Richard Dadd (1817 - 1889).
11. "They say I've got a lot of water in my brain..."

Answer: Somebody to Love

Another one from "A Day at the Races" (1976). This was Queen's only American hit from this album.
12. "Touch my tears with your lips..."

Answer: Who Wants to Live Forever

13. "Guilt stains on my pillow..."

Answer: Life Is Real (Song for Lennon)

From "Hot Space" (1982). As the title suggests, this song was dedicated to John Lennon.
14. "No use in sitting and thinking of what you did..."

Answer: These Are the Days of Our Lives

From "Innuendo" (1991). The video for this song was the last one featuring Freddie Mercury in original footage.
15. "Well I've loved a million women in a belladonic haze..."

Answer: Keep Yourself Alive

From "Queen" (1973). Queen's first album was recorded at Trident Studios, in London, during the facility's "off hours" (late at night, etc.).
16. "I had a dream when I was young..."

Answer: One Vision

Another one from "A Kind of Magic" (1986). This song was inpired by Live Aid in July 1985. It was featured in the movie "Iron Eagle" (1985), starring Lou Gossett, Jr.
17. "You twist it and turn it and cut it like a knife..."

Answer: Let Me Live

From "Made In Heaven" (1995). This song, arguably the best on Queen's final album of original work, is noted for the trade-off of lead vocals by Freddie, Brian and Roger.
18. "I wake up, feel just fine..."

Answer: Breakthru

Another one from "The Miracle" (1989). The video for this song was filmed on a private rail line in England. The train they used was dubbed "The Miracle Express."
19. "Through wars of worlds, invaded by Mars..."

Answer: Radio Ga Ga

From "The Works" (1984). This was Queen's last Top-40 hit in the USA until 1992. The video was inspired by (and uses footage from) Fritz Lang's 1926 science fiction epic "Metropolis".
FAST FACT -- In 1984, producer Giorgio Moroder re-released "Metropolis" in theaters, using music by contemporary artists, including Freddie Mercury's "Love Kills".
20. "You've never seen nothing like it, no never in your life..."

Answer: March of the Black Queen

From "Queen II" (1974). "Queen II" is the group's only concept album, featuring (on its vinyl release) "Side White" and "Side Black," instead of the traditional "Side 1" and "Side 2."
