Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. #60: "Make 'Em Say Uhh!" made it to 60th place on the 100 Worst Songs Ever list. Who sang it?

Answer: Master P.

"Make 'Em Say Uhh!" was one of Master P.'s biggest hits, though it wasn't well liked by Wilkening. The song was released on Master P.'s album "Ghetto D" in 1997. It not only made it to AOL Radio's 100 Worst Songs Ever, but it also made it to Blender's 50 Worst Songs Ever, ranked at 36.

Wilkening said of the song: "Why does Master P sound so constipated in this song? Someone please get him some laxatives ..."
2. #59: Bette Midler made the list with a song originally written by Julie Gold. Which song of Midler's, from her "Some People's Lives" album, was this?

Answer: From a Distance

The song was originally written by Julie Gold in 1985, but Bette Midler sang "From a Distance" in 1990. It was featured on her album "Some People's Lives". She remade the song in 2006 for her Christmas album "Cool Yule".

As we have learned from other songs on the list, repetition is a surefire way of getting on AOL Radio's 100 Worst Songs Ever.
3. #58: A single name is all that is needed for this star, who made it to the list of the 100 Worst Songs Ever with the song "American Life". The electronica-like sound is catchy, but very annoying. So it made the list. Who sang the song?

Answer: Madonna

"American Life" was released on Madonna's 2003 album of the same name. The song, as well as the album, reached number one in five different countries, number two in the United Kingdom, and the top ten in many other countries throughout the world. But Matthew Wilkening still found it worthy to reach 58th place of the 100 Worst Songs Ever list.
4. #57: Paul Lekakis sang a song that landed on the 100 Worst Songs Ever list in 57th place. It is called "Boom Boom", but what comes after that as the subtitle?

Answer: Let's Go Back to My Room

"Boom Boom (Let's Go Back to My Room)" was Paul Lekakis' first single, released on his album "Tattoo It" in 1990. Matthew Wilkening says the song title sounds much better in French: "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi (ce soir)".

"Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom" was sung by Venga Boys, "Boom Boom Pow" was sung by Black Eyed Peas, and "Boom Boom Dollar" was sung by King Kong and D. Jungle Girls.
5. #56: "Love Will Keep Us Together" is a very repetitive song, and it has become slightly annoying to many because of this. It was sung by Captain and Tennille. Who was "the Captain"?

Answer: Daryl Dragon

"Love Will Keep Us Together" is a very well-known song released in 1975 on the album of the same name by Captain and Tennille. It was their first album. The Captain is Daryl Dragon, and Tennille is Toni Tennille. The album cover features Daryl and Toni sitting with their two bulldogs.
6. #55: "It Wasn't Me" was released by Orville Richard Burrell in 2000. It is extremely repetitive, so was put at 55 on AOL Radio's 100 Worst Songs Ever list. Who is Orville Richard Burrell better known as?

Answer: Shaggy

In 2000, Shaggy released his fifth album "Hot Shot". On the album was one of his major hit singles, "It Wasn't Me". However, after several years, it became more of an earworm than a hit. So Matthew Wilkening put it on his list of the 100 Worst Songs Ever.
7. #54: "Disco Duck" was a very popular song in its day, but it is very annoying. It also features a Donald Duck-like voice singing in it. The song was sung by Rick Dees with his band. The band was called Rick Dees and what?

Answer: His Cast of Idiots

Rick Dees sang "Disco Duck" in 1976. It was found on his album "The Original Disco Duck". The repetitive and annoying song features the voice of a duck who sounds very much like Donald Duck. However, it isn't Donald, it's a disco duck.

Rick Dees is now well known for his "Rick Dees and the Weekly Top 40 Countdown", where each week he counts down the top 40 songs of the week (just as the title suggests, huh?)
8. #53: "Summer Girls" never made it to number one, but it was still one of the biggest hits of the band LFO. What does LFO stand for?

Answer: Lyte Funkie Ones

Lyte Funkie Ones, or LFO for short, was an American boy band who released "Summer Girls" in 1999. It could be found on the album "LFO".

Lyte Funkie Ones should not be confused with LFO, who sang the songs "LFO" and "El Ef Oh!"
9. #52: Las Ketchup sings a song which became a very popular Spanglish song. It was called "The Ketchup Song" in English, but what was its Spanish name?

Answer: Asereje

"The Ketchup Song (Asereje)" was released in 2002 by Las Ketchup, and can be found on their album "Hijas del Tomate". A Spanglish, Spanish, and karaoke version of the song can all be found on the album.
10. #51: "You Light Up My Life" made this singer very well known. She is the daughter of a famous pop singer. Who sang the song?

Answer: Debby Boone

"You Light Up My Life" was released in 1977 by Debby Boone, the daughter of Pat Boone. The song can be found on the album of the same name. The song reached number six on both pop and country charts.
