Molly was a fish monger who sold fish from a barrow and the subject of a very popular Irish song 'Molly Malone' also known as 'Cockles and Mussels'. The character is partly historical and partly legend, and the song has become an anthem of Dublin. A statue of Molly Malone was unveiled in Grafton Street in Dublin in 1988 to celebrate the city's millennium.

It perfectly portrays the blitz spirit of Londoners.
