The set of stamps were released 1st July 2002, the stamps are called 'Happy memories of the Isle of Man'.

The other Wilburys who were travelling were the late Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, and Tom Petty.

John returned the honour in 1969 as a protest against the war in Vietnam, the conflict in Biafra, and the fact that 'Cold Turkey' was slipping down the charts.
