Six hours into the day Jesus died it got dark and the darkness lasted for three hours. Right before Jesus died he said "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." then he breathed his last and died. At that moment the curtain of the temple split down the middle and and there was an earthquake in the land.

2. In Numbers 11 (NIV Bible) what did the Israelites complain that they were missing from their life in Egypt?

Answer: Meat

The Israelites were getting a bit fed up with only the manna that God provided for them to eat. Numbers 11:4-6 (NIV) says: "The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, 'If only we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost--also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!'"

Later in that chapter God also provided them with quail meat to accompany the manna.

4. In the short book of Jude, near the end of the New Testament, we see a reference to Michael, the archangel, disputing with Satan about the body of Moses. This takes us all the way back to the end of the book of Deuteronomy, in the Old Testament. According to the King James Version of Deuteronomy 34:6, who buried Moses on Mount Nebo in the land of Moab (modern-day Jordan)?

Answer: God

God himself buried Moses, according to the passage in Deuteronomy.

Interestingly, the author of Jude, (Judah) was a half-brother of Jesus. He refers back to the first five books of the Bible that had been written by Moses. He also mentions that Enoch, a man found in the book of Genesis whom God simply took without his having to die, had some prophetic things to say about the future. Read the entire book of Jude for more insight; it is the next to last book of the Holy Bible and is only one short chapter long.

5. In Romans 11 (KJV), Paul is talking about the partial blindness of the nation of Israel in regard to salvation "until the fullness of __________ be come in." Who is referred to in the blank?

Answer: The Gentiles

In this chapter, Paul is likening the nation of Israel to an olive tree in which the natural branches of the tree is the nation of Israel and that the wild olive branches grafted into the tree are the believing gentiles, both to bear fruit. Verse 25-26 states that partial blindness of the nation of Israel will continue "until the fullness of the gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:" Jacob was renamed Israel by God. (Gen 32:28) Paul explains that the wild branches (gentiles) are to bear fruit or they will again be cut out. Read Romans 9-11 get the whole picture where this subject is fully expanded.

It is of interest that no matter what conditions; hot, dry, cold, wet, rocky or sandy, the olive tree will live and produce fruit. It is said that you can never kill an olive tree. Even when cut down or burned, new shoots will emerge from its roots. What a great word picture of how indestructible the nation is Israel is.

10. The term "birthright" appears numerous times in the Bible. It refers to the early Jewish custom of the inheritance rights of the first-born son. When a father died, he passed on his inheritance to his sons, with the eldest receiving a double portion, as the person responsible for caring for his mother and unmarried sisters. According to Colossians 1:3-18 (KJV Bible), who is referred to as the firstborn of every creature?

Answer: Christ

Not only is Christ called the firstborn of every creature (not just man), but in the 18th verse we also see that he is called the "firstborn from the dead", as well.

Romans 8:13-17 tells us that those who are led by the Spirit of God are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ; therefore, Christians believe that those who have Christ as their Savior are "firstborn" with Him and will thus inherit all things WITH Him.
