Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Tiger 'Stripes' Dyer
Answer: Richmond
For Stripes, there are only two colours in the rainbow; yellow and black. He hates being called a cat and has plenty of battle scars from defending his turf and his reputation. He's a loyal character who's stuck with his boys through thick and thin. He's moody and can be unpredictable; one minute ferocious and uncompromising, the next shy and hiding in the undergrowth. You might think he's run away, but he never gives up.
He is a well-muscled tiger with big, broad shoulders used to carrying the weight of big expectations.
His knees are a little shaky, so he runs best in a straight line.
2. Johnny 'The Doc' Docker
Answer: Fremantle
The most laid back member of the Manor, Johnny takes life in his stride. He likes to work hard and play hard. He wears a casual twist on the footy uniform, with a t-shirt and board shorts for the home games and a wet-suit for games in Melbourne.
3. Bernie 'Gabba' Vegas
Answer: Brisbane Lions
Bernie is bold and brassy. He's arrogant, loves the limelight and sees himself as the rightful ruler of Mascot Manor. He's a showman with great footy skills. He likes dressing in jumpsuits and singing old show tunes, doing handstands and eating fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
4. Moz 'Skeeta' Reynolds
Answer: Essendon
Skeeta is a small, lightning-quick mozzie who is always buzzing around in the face of his opponents. He's got a long mosquito nose that he likes to stick into other people's business and he's always decked out in fighter pilot garb, complete with scarf, bomber jacket and goggles.
5. Jock 'One Eye' McPie
Answer: Collingwood
Jock is a great Aussie battler made good, an independant and charismatic magpie and the most egocentric mascot in the Manor. He sees everything in black and white, loves reading about himself in the papers and is sure that everybody else is talking about him.
In the early days, Jock lost one of his eyes, but his other eye compensates for the loss giving him super powered vision that allows him to spot gaps in defences and any shiny trophies on offer.
6. Woofer 'Dogg' Whitten
Answer: Western Bulldogs
Woofer has a heart as big as Phar Lap's and will do anything to protect his mates and the good name of his club. He's hardworking, down to earth, honest and loyal. He's a strong and well balanced bulldog with muscles in all the right places. He's bulky and well grounded, in fact he can't get off the ground (which drives him insane when chasing the cat) but he's unbeatable when the ball hits the deck in a game of kick-to-kick.
7. Captain Carlton
Answer: Carlton
Captain Carlton is a born winner, confident with his skills, his good looks and his ridiculously deep voice. He's long and lean, a multi-talented gymnast and a powerful entrepreneur who likes to think he's the boss of the Manor. He has a touch of European flare and dresses with class in tailored suits, but a the sound of a siren, he strips to an old-school superhero in tights and a mask.
8. Tommy 'Thunda' Power
Answer: Port Adelaide
Tommy is a super heroic type with a pun-loving sense of humour. Tall and powerful, he's somewhat unaware of his own strength. A passionate South Australian, he's engaged in a constant battle for bunk room supremacy with Claude. His sky blue suit keeps him grounded, while his lightning bolt pistols are flashy, if a little unreliable.
9. Sunny Ray
Answer: Gold Coast
A big ball of energy wearing a flame-resistant suit, Sunny Ray isn't scared of hard work. He's strong, bold and full of beans with impressive football powers and plenty to prove.
10. G-Man
Answer: Greater Western Sydney
The newest member of the Manor, G-Man joined the league back in 2009. He likes to think big, live big and play big and dreams of one day celebrating a Giants premiership.
