1. In what year were Chelsea FC formed?

Answer: 1905

The club also moved into Stamford Bridge in this year, which was built in 1877.
2. Who was the first manager in Chelsea's history?

Answer: John Tait Robertson

Robertson managed the club from it's inauguration in 1905 through to 1907. Calderhead then took the reigns for 26 years between 1907-33, followed by Knighton between 1933-39, and Birrell was 1939-52, which was interrupted by World War II.
3. Which season saw the League championship come to Stamford Bridge for the first time?

Answer: 1954-55

They won the title by four points over second placed Wolverhampton Wanderers, and under the management of Ted Drake. This was the only time in the 20th century that Chelsea became champions of England's top-flight division.
4. How many league goals did Jimmy Greaves score for Chelsea in season 1960-61?

Answer: 41

Greaves set a record for scoring the most Chelsea league goals in a season, and later went on to play for AC Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United. In his Chelsea career between 1957-60, Greaves scored 124 goals in just 157 games.
5. Who did Chelsea beat to become FA Cup winners for the first time in 1970?

Chelsea and Leeds drew 2-2 at Wembley Stadium, but Chelsea took the cup by winning the replay 2-0 at Old Trafford (both games went to extra time).

William 'Fatty' Foulkes was so-called, because of his enormous weight, rumoured to be over 20 stones. He played for the club between 1905-06, and died 10 years later, in 1916.

Ron 'Chopper' Harris, so called for his hard tackling, played 655 games for Chelsea between 1962-80.

Chelsea beat Glossop 9-2 in a Division Two match on 1st September 1906.
