Just like the American and National Leagues, the Federal League comprised 8 franchises. These were initially located in Baltimore, Brooklyn, Buffalo, Chicago, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, and St Louis.
2. Which team won the inaugural Federal League championship in 1914?

Despite their success on the field, financial difficulties saw the Hoosiers franchise being relocated to Newark, NJ, for the 1915 season where they were renamed the Peppers.
3. What was the nickname of the Federal League team in Kansas City?

Answer: Packers

The Packers had the misfortune of having their home schedule curtailed in 1914 when a flash flood knocked down the walls of Gordon-Koppel Park.
4. Which famous pitcher did the Baltimore Terrapins entice from the Philadelphia Athletics of the American League in 1915?

The acquisition of Bender didn't prove a success as he slumped to a 4-16 record for the Athletics, and the team went from first in 1914, to last place in 1915 with him.
5. Which team were Federal League champions in 1915?

Answer: Chicago Whales

The Whales edged out the St Louis Terriers by an incredible .001%.
6. Which is the only stadium used by a Federal League team that was later used by a Major League club, and was still being used by that Major League team in 2006?

Answer: Wrigley Field

Wrigley Field, home in 2006 of the NL Chicago Cubs, was the home of the Chicago Whales of the Federal League, although at the time the stadium was known as Weeghman Park.
7. Which player led the Federal League in batting average in both 1914 and 1915?

8. Which pitcher won a league-high 29 games in 1914?

Answer: Claude Hendrix

9. Which player led the Federal League with 17 home runs in 1915?

Answer: Hal Chase

Chase played for the Buffalo Blues in 1915, then signed for the NL Cincinnati Reds in 1916.

Answer: Exposition Park

Exposition Park was a former home of the NL Pirates, and had staged the World Series games in 1903. The Pirates moved to Forbes Field in 1909, but Exposition Park enjoyed a revival when the Rebels played their FL games there. The park was demolished shortly after the Federal League folded.
