Under the helm of Harry Wright, the Red Stockings won it in four consecutive seasons from 1872-1875, then watched the league go defunct. Contrary to popluar belief, the team later emerged in the National League and eventually became the Atlanta Braves.

Answer: American League

The Blues of Cleveland appeared in the inaugural season of the American League in 1901. 1902 saw a name change to the Bronchos, then the Naps in 1903. The franchise changed their name in 1915 to the Cleveland Indians.
3. The Los Angeles Dodger franchise had experienced many names throughout its history. In 1889, the franchise won its first pennant in which league?

In the American Association, the 1889 Atlantics won the pennant by two games over the St. Louis Browns. 1890 saw them join the National League and win another title.
