Answer: Mickey Mantle

Mickey became the 18th player in history to hit 300 career home runs. The pitch was dished up by Hal Woodeshick of the Washington Senators. Mantle would go on to hit 536 home runs in his career.

Answer: Cesar Geronimo

Cesar became St. Louis Cardinal Bob Gibson's 3000th strikeout victim in 1974 while with the Reds. Geronimo also became Nolan Ryan's 3000th strikeout on July 4, 1980, when Geronimo was still in a Red's uniform.

In the 1980s, Quisenberry was also runner-up for the Cy Young Award twice, and finished third twice.

He retired with the fourth most saves in baseball history at the time.

Waddell and the Athletics won the game, 4-2. After three innings of the second game, Ossee asked manager Connie Mack to replace him as he had no energy left in his legs. Mack replaced him with Doc Powers.
