1. 1986
Answer: Montreal Canadiens
It was the 6th title in 13 years for the Canadiens. The series was over in 5 games. The Calgary Flames made their Stanley Cup Finals debut in the loss.
2. 1987
Answer: Edmonton Oilers
For the Oilers this was the third title in four years. They beat the Flyers in 7 games. It was the second time the Oilers and Flyers had faced off in that same four year span.
3. 1988
Answer: Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers won their fourth title in five seasons. This year was a 4-0 sweep of the Boston Bruins. All four titles were coached by Glenn Sather.
4. 1989
Answer: Calgary Flames
After losing in the finals in 1986, the Flames fought back and won their first title ever in 1989. They bested the Canadiens in six games. For the Canadiens they had their third different coach in six years take them to the finals.
5. 1990
Answer: Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers came back to win their fifth title in seven years. They were also in the finals one of the years they didn't win. This year was a 4-1 series over the Boston Bruins.
6. 1991
Answer: Pittsburgh Penguins
Pittsburgh won their first championship with a 4-2 series over Minnesota.
It was the first finals since 1982 that didn't feature Edmonton or Calgary, ending a long streak of dominance for Canada.
For Pittsburgh coach Bob Johnson, it was his first and last season coaching in Pittsburgh.
7. 1992
Answer: Pittsburgh Penguins
Under new head coach Scotty Bowman, Pittsburgh repeated as champions. They won the title with a sweep of the Blackhawks. It was the third different team Bowman lead to the finals.
Bowman took over coaching duties, he had previously been in the team's front office, after former coach Bob Johnson died from brain cancer.

Answer: Montreal Canadiens
The Canadiens won their record 24th Stanley Cup with a 4-1 thumping of the Los Angeles Kings.
The Kings' run was notable as they played only Canadian teams in the playoffs. They had been an afterthought most of the 24 years they had been in the NHL, but they traded for Wayne Gretzky and immediately became an elite team.
9. 1994
Answer: New York Rangers
Mark Messier hit the game-winner in game 7 to push the Rangers to the championship. They beat the Vancouver Canucks for their fourth championship.
10. 1995
Answer: New Jersey Devils
The New Jersey Devils spoiled legendary coach Scotty Bowman's attempt to win a championship with a third different team as they swept the Red Wings in the finals. Bowman had previously won titles with Pittsburgh and Montreal, and also took the Blues to the finals 3 times.
