Answer: Barry Bonds

The 2002 World Series saw the Angels and Giants. Babe Ruth had set the record with 11 in 1926 until Bonds came along.
2. The Yankees closed out the 20th century in style by winning three consecutive World Series. They defeated the Mets four games to one, skunked the Braves and which other team?

Answer: San Diego Padres

The others were all American League teams. 1998 saw the Yankees win 114 games in the season. They skunked the Padres in the series, the Braves were next in 1999, and then the Mets won only one game in the 2000 series.
3. Which of the following pitchers struck out 35 batters in a World Series?

Answer: Bob Gibson

The others weren't pitchers. Gibson won the NL Cy Young and NL MVP in 1968 before putting 35 Tigers down in the World Series. It wasn't enough as the Tigers won it, four games to three.
