The nun in his dream offered to perform a service in order to absolve Hank's guilt. She turned out to be young and sexy. When Hank woke up, the dream nun was really a married woman he had a one night stand with. Heather, the married lady, explained to Hank that her husband had never been able to satisfy her. As Hank was happy to do that for her, her husband came home. Hank had to hot tail it out of her home without his pants!

Michelle Nordin played Heather, and Hank's dream nun. David Duchovny offered a hilarious first peek at a flawed man, who's good at heart. Hank Moody is a vast contrast to David's character of Fox Mulder on "The X-Files".

Becca, played by actress Madeleine Martin, was twelve in the series premier. She liked Johnny Depp, and found a naked woman in her father's bed! The woman turned out to be the wife of the director who ruined Hank's novel. This woman, Sandy, was played by actress Camille Langfield. She also guest starred on "Charmed", "The O.C.", and "Las Vegas".

Answer: Bill

Hank was very upset to get this news, as he'd been holding out hope that Karen would come back to him. It turned out that in all their years together, Hank never wanted to get married. Eventually this caused Karen to leave Hank for Bill, who was revealed to have other large roles in Hank's life in both this premier and the second episode as well. Hank told Karen that he knew Bill was not the man for her, and described him as a "dial tone". Hank, being a writer, has many great descriptions for people.

The man received an incoming call, which he answered during the movie. Hank may have let well enough alone, but the man talked very loudly. So, Hank asked him to stop, the man refused, and Hank took the phone away. He said something to the lady on the other end of the line, and closed the phone. He did give it back, and the lady called immediately. Finally, Hank took the phone again, smashed it, and fought the man to the floor. The man referred to Hank as "Mel Gibson", but the audience members clapped loudly in appreciation!

Philip Shahbaz played the Man on Cellphone character. He guest starred in "Sleeper Cell" and "The Unit" as well.

Answer: A Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Hank made noises about how his work had been ruined as it was turned into a hit film. Tom and Katie starred in the movie, and they were billed exactly as such, "Tom and Katie". No last names for this Tom and Katie were included. The movie poster just showed two brunettes, a man and a woman, with "Tom" in the upper left corner and "Katie" in the upper right one.

The series shows the promise of many inside jokes, much like HBO's hit "Entourage".

Answer: God Hates Us All

Hank described himself to Mia as a "one hit wonder". Mia went home with Hank and had sex with him. During the finale of the act, she began punching him. She left him abruptly when it was over, and the next day he sported a black eye. Mia turned out to be the sixteen year old daughter of Karen's fiance Bill. Hank found this out near the end of the first episode. Bill, once again, was connected to Hank, but in an all new way...

Answer: Becca being a lesbian

The woman who called the meeting said she'd become troubled over Becca's budding sexuality. Hank assumed the woman meant that his daughter was a lesbian, and expressed joy over the fact. He stated to Karen that men were basically dogs, and he was glad his daughter wouldn't be dealing with them. Hank was wrong, as Becca was not showing signs of being a lesbian. Becca was allowing boys to take liberties with her at school, as she believed it was the only way to get boys to like her.

Charlie made an offer to Hank about blogging for the magazine "HELL.A." Hank was less than thrilled at the idea of offering his opinion on L.A.'s battle of the sexes. Evan Handler played Hank's agent and friend Charlie. Fans of "Sex and the City" surely remember Evan Handler as Charlotte's husband Harry Goldenblatt. And, "Lost" fanatics surely recall Evan playing Hurley's imaginary friend Dave, in the season two episode of the same name.

Answer: Meredith

Charlie, Hank's agent and friend, and his wife Marcy brought Meredith along to a dinner with Hank. Hank did not react kindly to Meredith. Hank has an aversion to women who are actually available. Hank was so rude that Meredith got up and left.

Amy Price-Francis played Meredith during season one. Pamela Adlon played Charlie's wife, Marcy. Pamela also played Louie's wife Kim in the HBO series "Lucky Louie".

Answer: Rocket Man

Hank did not have any luck writing. He'd just helped Karen retrieve Becca from a party where she was smoking pot. He just discovered that his one night stand with Mia was illegal, as she was Bill's sixteen year old daughter. He relized that his daughter was becoming close to Mia, whom no one knew was a bit wild. At the end, Hank had one word on his computer screen and I cannot write it here.
