The episode began with Allison and her boyfriend, Keith Gray, making love at Keith's home along the beach. Allison stopped and told him that she had to get dressed and go to work. Keith grabbed her purse and handed it to her but before Allison went to work, she told Keith to meet her at Shooters that night so he could meet her friends.

Sandy told him she was so he informed her how he was the casting director of a soap opera called, "Forever and Tomorrow." Jane was telling a couple of her friends about Keith down at Shooters and she mentioned in front of Rhonda and Jane how Keith was married. Jane asked her if Allison's going out with Keith meant that he and his wife were separated. Allison responded they were not officially separated but their marriage seemed dead.

Matt was seen walking out of a club in one scene and three men approached him and called him derogatory names. Matt tried to run away from him but all three of them beat him up. As Jane and Michael went to bed in one scene, they commented on Allison's seeing a married man and Michael told her how he believed having an extramarital affair was "only human." Jane objected to what Michael said but he claimed he meant it was human to be attracted to another human being and how just because one is married does not prevent one from feeling a certain way.

After they got done talking for a little bit, they shut off the lights and went to bed.

Jake was outside by the apartment complex when he noticed Matt all bloodied up so he tended to him. Jake asked him who beat him up and Matt said they were some guys out on Santa Monica Boulevard. Jake told Matt he was going to the hospital so Matt got in Jake's car and went to Wilshire Memorial Hospital.

Billy and Allison argued over Keith and Allison reminded him how Billy told her to follow her passion and that was exactly what she was doing. Billy yelled at her how Keith had changed her since she had morals. Billy told Allison that he does not want to see her get hurt but Allison blasted back at him by saying he actually did not want to see her happy.

Allison asked him to give her a definition for dead but Keith was puzzled as to what she meant so she clarified and asked him to define how dead his marriage was or perhaps how dead their relationship was. Keith accused Allison of allowing her friends to place doubts in her mind on their relationship but Allison assured him that was not the case.

Sandy changed her mind about auditioning for a role on "Forever and Tomorrow" and she promised to let Rhonda know if she got the part. When Rhonda saw Matt and Jake outside by the pool one day, she told them how Sandy got the role. She mentioned how Sandy was filming her first episode and it would be airing tomorrow so Jake asked her if it was a short term deal but Rhonda informed him that Sandy had a one year contract.

Marty Gold was a police officer for Los Angeles and took Matt's statement down regarding his attack. This was the only episode in which Capodice guest starred on for the series.
