Lucy and Ricky lived in an apartment building owned by Ethel and Fred. Ethel was friends with Lucy and got involved in her schemes each week. This was one of the first filmed TV sitcoms.
2. That Girl

Answer: Ann Marie

Ann Marie was an aspiring actress living alone in an apartment. However, she quite often needed help from her boyfriend, Donald, or father, Lou Marie. Her last name was Marie, which sometimes confused casting directors when they insisted on knowing her last name, thinking Marie was her middle name. One of the last episodes featured Ann's father jumping out of a cake at Donald's bachelor party.
3. Green Acres

Answer: Lisa

Lisa's husband Oliver had been a lawyer in New York City, but he insisted on living at a run down farm in Hooterville. Lisa spoke with an accent and talked to the animals on the farm. The series had some strange stories. One time a boy sold moon rocks which beeped when the moon shown on them. The last scene showed NASA people with moon rocks that beeped in moonlight.
4. The Jeffersons

Louise had lived next door to Archie Bunker in "All in the Family", but her husband made a lot of money from selling dry cleaning franchises. They moved to Manhattan. Her husband, George, was always trying to make more money, even after they were wealthy. One time George got into an argument with his grown son, Lionel, and he threatened to disown Lionel.

He told Louise, whom he called "Weezy", that they could have another son. Weezy said, "You better call Parcel Post, 'cause I've stopped making deliveries!"
5. The Adventures of Superman

This was the first TV series based on the comic book "Superman". Lois Lane was a reporter for The Daily Planet newspaper and was constantly getting captured by villains with Jimmy Olsen. When Clark Kent found out what happened, he would become Superman and save everyone.
6. The Mary Tyler Moore Show

Answer: Ted

Ted Baxter was the local news anchor man who never seemed to quite know what was going on. He would read whatever news was put in front of him on camera, even if it didn't make any sense. He eventually had a girlfriend who thought he was great. In the final episode of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", the ratings of the news program had went down, so the new station manager fired Mary, Murray, and Lou Grant, but kept Ted.
7. Mayberry R.F.D.

Answer: Howard

Howard was a character who joined the cast on "The Andy Griffith Show" after Barney Fife had left. He had dated Millie. After Andy left the series, the title changed to "Mayberry R.F.D." with mostly the same regulars. Now Millie dated Sam Jones (not the Sam Jones who played "Flash Gordon").
8. Get Smart

Answer: Hymie

Hymie was a robot, android, who was created by K.A.O.S. to kill spy Maxwell Smart who worked for C.O.N.T.R.O.L., which fought the evil plans of K.A.O.S. Hymie thought Max was more friendly than his creators at K.A.O.S., so he ended up working for C.O.N.T.R.O.L.
9. M*A*S*H

Answer: Radar

Many characters in this series had nicknames. Hot Lips worked with doctors Hawkeye and Trapper John. There was also Radar who worked for Lt Col Blake. He was always the first to hear the helicopter arrive with wounded people in the Korean War. Radar had a brief spinoff series, one episode, but it was called "Walter" instead of "Radar".
10. Maude

Answer: Carol

Carol was the grown daughter of Maude who had a son. They lived with Maude and her husband, Walter, in Maude's house. Carol was hardly ever seen, and her son was seen even less often. Most of the action involved Maude and her husband, Walter, and their friends, Vivian and Arthur.
