Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Buck Rogers in the 25th Century

Answer: Twiki

Twiki was a short robot given to Buck Rogers, who was an astronaut which had been lost in space for roughly 500 years. When Buck woke up in the future, he joined the government of New Chicago and fought crime on spaceships and other planets. Buck, Wilma, and Twiki were the only characters from the first season to join the crew of the Searcher spaceship in the second season.

They traveled the universe solving problems. What did Twiki do? He usually mumbled and made wise cracks.
2. Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman

Answer: Perry White

Perry White was the editor of the "Daily Planet" newspaper where Lois Lane and Clark Kent worked. This was another series beginning the story all over again about Superman. Again, Perry White was too dumb to know that Clark Kent and Superman were the same person.
3. Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines

Answer: Yankee Doodle Pigeon

Dastardly and his dog, Muttley, were villains in various cartoon shows. In this one, they flew a World War I plane while trying to catch Yankee Doodle Pigeon, who carried secret messages.
4. Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space

Answer: Alexandra

Alexandra was the sister of Alexander who was the manager for an all-girl musical group named Josie and the Pussycats. The characters originated in "Archie" comic books. Somehow whenever they went somewhere to perform, they found out an evil person was trying to take over the world, and they were the only ones who could stop it. Alexandra traveled with the group because she wanted to date Alan, the roadie.

In "Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space", all of this happened when they traveled in outer space to other planets.
5. 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter

Answer: Beach

Beach was the nickname of one of the teenage daughters of the married couple featured in this family sitcom. John Ritter starred in this sitcom about an opinionated father who had rules he wanted his daughters' dates to follow, until he died in real life.
6. The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse and Heckle and Jeckle

Answer: Oil Can Harry

This was a one hour weekly series featuring short cartoons of the old Terrytoons characters, Mighty Mouse and Heckle and Jeckle. One of the cartoons was part of a continuing story, titled "The Great Space Chase". The parts were compiled and released as possibly the cheapest looking big screen cartoon feature ever. (I watched the feature a few years ago.)
7. The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo

Answer: Birdie

Birdie was the nickname of one of the deputies of Sheriff Lobo. Originally set in a small town, the one hour comedy moved to the big city in season two. The long title was shortened to "Lobo".
8. The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet

Answer: Ricky

The real life married couple and their two real life sons were featured in a scripted half hour sitcom each week. Ricky was young at first, but he soon grew up and became a famous singer in real life.
9. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Answer: Ronald McDonald

Beating the long running "Ozzie and Harriett" for having the most seasons of any live action TV sitcom, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" features Mac (Ronald McDonald) and his friends running a bar. Each week they got involved with various people and tried to make easy money. One time they tried their version of a home makeover show by tearing down the house of a poor family, but they didn't know how to rebuild it.

It was funny when the truck pulled out for the "big reveal" from in front of the lot and Mac stood there with a worried look on his face in the rubble that used to be a house.
10. Freddy's Nightmares: A Nightmare on Elm Street the Series

Answer: Freddy Krueger

This was a series hosted by a famous movie murderer, Freddy Krueger, from the "Nightmare On Elm Street" movies. He was the only regular character because this was an anthology involving murder and sometimes the supernatural. Each week the title card said the complete name of the series, but most people just called it "Freddy's Nightmares".
