Answer: Mr. Eko

Since Mr. Eko was in the flashbacks for this episode, it was appropriate that he be the first one we see. In his first scene, he was seen using an ax to chop wood. He then sees Ana Lucia, who asks him what he is building and he says it is a church. Since Ana Lucia was killed in the previous episode, this turned out to be a dream of Mr. Eko's.

In the opening scene, Ana Lucia was in Mr. Eko's dream and it was in this dream where she told him that John Locke had lost his way. She and his brother told him he needed to have John take him to a question mark in the woods. Since Ana Lucia was shot in the chest in the previous episode, you could see blood on her chest in this dream of Mr. Eko's. Near the beginning of this episode, Kate, Locke and Sawyer also saw Ana Lucia dead body and they noticed that Libby was still alive. Jack told Kate to keep pressure on Libby's wound but she ended up dying.

Mr. Eko awoke from his dream and he was panting and this woke up Charlie, who was right next to him. He grabbed on to a necklace of his and Charlie asked Mr. Eko if he was alright. Rather than answering him, Mr. Eko saw an ax right by him, picked it up, and he told Charlie that he needed to find Locke.

Right before the opening credits, we saw Locke, Jack, Kate and Sawyer going through the jungle and Locke was on crutches. Jack asked John Locke what he was thinking so Kate told Jack to leave Locke alone. Sawyer told Jack to not leave him alone but Jack did not care for the compliment since he told Sawyer to shut up.

As Jack, Kate, Locke and Sawyer continued walking towards the hatch, Michael stumbled out of it and told Jack that Ben had shot him. Jack told the others that he could handle this and so Michael told him how he came out of the bedroom and there was Ben. He mentioned how Ben had a gun so Jack told him to see if he could get up so he could tend to him.

In the middle of the episode, we saw Mr. Eko and Locke both at a fire and Locke awoke and saw Mr. Eko. He mentioned how Mr. Eko had knocked him out but Mr. Eko defended his decision to knock Locke out, saying how he had been acting difficult. Locke asked Mr. Eko if he was insane and he said he was not.

Jack was starting to show signs of frustration in the hatch so Kate told him to calm down. She also informed him how it would be difficult for Locke to find his trail in the dark but that he and Mr. Eko would be back. Jack continued to wash his hands and Michael asked him if Libby said anything but Jack told him she was still unconscious.

Midway through the episode, Kate and Sawyer were walking down the beach and Kate asked him how Ana Lucia got his gun. Sawyer told her he had no clue and that perhaps Ana Lucia lifted it off of him. Kate questioned how it was possible she could pickpocket Sawyer's gun but Sawyer reiterated to her he just did not know how Ana Lucia got his gun.

M'Cormack made an appearance in this episode as Yemi, Mr. Eko's brother. In the very first scene of the episode, Yemi encouraged Mr. Eko to find Locke since Locke had to take him to the question mark. M'Cormack played Yemi for a total of three episodes of "Lost." He has also guest starred on the TV shows, "Without a Trace", "Cold Case", and "24."

Near the end of the episode, Hurley was seen in the hatch talking to Libby and he apologized to her for forgetting some blankets. Libby then died and Hurley became upset since he and Libby had a close bond. He told Michael how he was supposed to have had his first date with her but now he cannot since she was dead.
