Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the opening scene, who asked Locke if he could borrow a gun?

Answer: Michael Dawson

The episode began with a scene that took place thirteen days prior to the present and we saw Michael ask Locke if he could borrow a gun in the gun room of the hatch. Locke wondered why Michael was speaking softly so Michael told him how Jack was asleep and he did not want to wake him. Locke gave Michael a gun and then Michael used the gun to knock John out.
2. Michael typed messages to Walt in this episode.

Answer: True

In a previous episode, still thirteen days before the present, Michael typed messages on a computer in the hatch and it was for one of those messages that someone typed back, "dad?" and that is how Michael found Walt. In the beginning of this episode, he typed to Walt and first asked him if he was alright. Walt typed back and asked him if he was coming soon and Michael said he would be there as quickly as possible.
3. At the beginning of the episode, who did Michael hold at gunpoint?

Answer: Jack Shephard

In the final scene shown thirteen days before the present, Jack noticed that Locke was lying on the floor unconscious and he went over to tend to him and it was while he did this that Michael held him at gunpoint. Michael instructed Jack to stay in the same room where Locke was since he was going to find Walt and nobody could stop him. Jack stayed in the room so Michael closed it and locked it.
4. Jack asked who how many rifles and pistols they had?

Answer: James "Sawyer" Ford

In the first scene that took place in the present, Jack asked Michael to come into the hatch and then, while in the hatch, he asked Sawyer how many rifles and pistols they had. Sawyer responded that they had a total of eleven and Jack asked if that was all they had. Sawyer reiterated that was it.
5. Who was frustrated at how some of the survivors did not care about the fact they had not even buried Ana Lucia and Libby yet?

Answer: Hugo "Hurley" Reyes

Jack and Michael began to argue about how best to approach The Others and this frustrated Hurley since he reminded them as to how they had not even buried Ana Lucia and Libby and it seemed to him as if they forgot about both ladies. Jack went over to Libby and told him that both of them would bury Libby while Kate and Sawyer would bury Ana Lucia. Jack asked Michael to stay in the hatch.
6. During the opening credits, who was seen running across the island with a gun?

Answer: Michael Dawson

As the opening credits rolled, we saw a scene that took place thirteen days prior to the present where Michael was running across the island with a gun over his shoulder since he was anxious to rescue Walt. Along the way, he noticed a man stopping to urinate and he held him at gunpoint and asked him to put his hands up.

He also told the man to not move and the man assured him he would not move. Then, someone came up from behind Michael and got the gun away from him and then several other men came and took Michael.
7. In one scene, who spoke to Michael while he cleaned up a pile of blood in the hatch?

Answer: Mr. Eko

Midway through the episode, we saw a scene that said "today", telling us it was in the present, and it showed Michael cleaning up blood in the hatch. Mr. Eko saw him and said hey and Michael said he did not hear him come in but Mr. Eko said he left his shoes outside. Michael asked Mr. Eko if he found Ben Linus but Mr. Eko said he did not find him.
8. In a scene after Michael had been taken captive, who also was seen as having just been taken captive?

Answer: Kate Austen

There was another scene which took place thirteen days prior to the present and it was where Michael was brought to the campsite of The Others. Michael asked Tom Friendly where his boy was but he did not tell him. Just then, another one of The Others showed them all how he caught Kate since she had a bag over her head and therefore she was being held captive by them as well as Michael.
9. Midway through the episode, Michael told which person that he was not coming to help him find The Others?

Answer: Sayid Jarrah

Midway through the episode, in a scene in the present, Michael went up to Sayid down by the beach and told him he was not to come with him when he and others went to locate The Others. Michael simply told Sayid it would not work and Sayid asked him why not. Michael said that Sayid was going after the guy who escaped (Ben Linus) whereas Michale was going to find his son.
10. Near the end of the episode, Michael asked whom if Jack filled him/her in on the plan?

Answer: Kate Austen

It was near the episode's conclusion where we saw Kate and Hurley digging Ana Lucia and Libby's graves and Michael went over to talk to Kate. He asked her if Jack had filled her in on the plane and Kate asked him what plan. Michael told her they were leaving first thing tomorrow to find The Others' camp. Michael then asked Hurley if he would be coming but Hurley asked why he would want to go and Michael told him they killed Libby. Hurley apologized to Michael about what happened to Walt but he said he was not going to go to The Others' camp.
