Sawyer and Michael were on a part of the island and they saw Jin running away from a group of people with his hands tied behind his back. Sawyer and Michael were attacked by these people and, along with Jin, put into a large net. They carried Sawyer, Michael, and Jin and trapped them in a hole after dumping them out of the net.

Locke was in the first flashback to the episode where he was at a support group and one of the members complained about her boyfriend stealing thirty dollars from her. Locke laughed it off and the head of the group asked him what was so funny. Kate escaped from a part of the hatch where she was trapped and found a room full of guns. She used one of them and went up to Desmond, who held Locke at gunpoint at the time, and knocked him out. In a flashback, John was seen spending some time with a woman named Helen who was with his support group. In the flashback, John showed signs of agitation and Helen asked him if something was wrong. John said he liked her but that they could not be a couple, which is what Helen hinted at wanting with him.

Right after Desmond informed Jack, Kate, and John how the computer was destroyed, he went looking around the hatch to find a way to repair it. John offered to help but Desmond said he really needed someone who could fix the computer so Kate told him Sayid might be able to repair it. Kate went looking for Sayid while Desmond told Jack and Locke more about the timer.

As Kate was going back to the beach to look for Sayid, Hugo saw him lugging around some luggage so he offered to help. They spoke for a little bit and Hugo mentioned, after a baby stealing incident from a couple days ago had resolved, how things were starting to return to normal. Right after he said this, Kate found Sayid and told him she needed his assistance.

Near the end of the episode, Mr. Eko came back to the hole where he stashed Ana Lucia, Michael, Jin, and Sawyer. Sawyer and Michael start to fight so Ana Lucia grabs Sawyer's gun and knocks him out. She holds all three at gunpoint and calls for Mr. Eko's guard to come get her. This is when she reveals how she is aligned with the Tailies. Ana Lucia was never aligned with The Others.
