We first saw Sydney as she was at the jail after being arrested for the attempted murder of Michael. Sydney admitted that she did attempt to kill him but it was only after Kimberly told her to do it, referring to when she and Kimberly locked Michael in the garage with the car running. Someone from the district attorney's office asked Sydney if she meant Kimberly as in Kimberly Shaw and Sydney told him that was correct. Sydney said it was the car accident that was Kimberly's doing and not hers.

Jane found out that Sydney had now been arrested for Michael's attempted murder so she wanted to help her sister. She called up her parents and let them know what happened to Sydney. Jane and Sydney's father arranged to have a personal friend represent Sydney in regards to her attempted murder charge.

Amanda was at D&D Advertising doing some work so Bruce entered her office and asked her if she had a second. Amanda said she did and Bruce told her he had drinks with some friends the previous night who were in publishing and one mentioned Escapade was looking for an ad agency. Bruce asked Amanda if Allison's "husband" was still employed at Escapade so Amanda informed him that Billy and Allison did not marry but she could call Billy. Bruce said he would appreciate her contacting Billy.

Amanda got a phone call from Allison, who was at San Francisco International Airport, and Allison told her she was about to catch her flight back to Los Angeles. She mentioned how Amanda could count on her if she needed her for anything but Amanda insisted she take care of her family problems first. Allison and Amanda then ended their call since Allison had to board her plane.

Michael and Kimberly were at the beach house since Michael had been released from the hospital and Michael commented on how it did not look familiar. Kimberly insisted that Michael get some rest so she got him settled into his bed. Michael still complained about how he could not remember anything but Kimberly reminded him that it was not his fault.

Amanda went to Jake's boat in one scene in the middle of the episode and she referred to him as "Captain Jake." She told Jake how she knew she was not supposed to bother him but she wanted to bring him some food. Brittany saw Amanda and told her Jake would be back in a minute and said Jake was not there. Amanda decided to give the food to Brittany to give to Jake.

In one scene, Matt and Sydney were speaking through the phone at the jail cell and she thanked him for visiting her since it seemed as if nobody else would. She told Matt how it seemed as if he was the only one who would possibly believe her but Matt insisted he was not gullible. Sydney said that was not the case and it was more over the fact that Matt knew what Michael and Kimberly were like.

Billy was at his desk in one scene midway through the episode and his phone rang off. He picked it up and it was Amanda on the other line. Amanda congratulated him on a story that he wrote and said she was giving it to Bruce. She also informed him how she needed him to make a couple changes to it but Billy told Amanda she knew what the changes needed to be and she could make the changes herself.
