Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. As shown on screen, how many months had passed between Nancy's note to Andy and the current time?

Answer: 6

The episode opened on Esteban's gorgeous home, and the screen lit up with "six months later". Then it showed Nancy's in the shower and Esteban sitting there reading a book called "What Not to Name Your Baby".
2. Did Esteban tell Nancy that they would get married?

Answer: Yes

He handed her a black velvet box and said it contained a prized family heirloom. Nancy's response was "huh". He went on to say that his last name, Reyes, meant "Kings". Nancy told him that wasn't how she pictured a marriage proposal "going down". He said he was sorry to disappoint her, and then got up and walked away.

The ring had a huge purple stone on it, and Nancy clearly didn't love it. It was actually the championship ring of the soccer team Esteban owned.
3. Where were Nancy and Esteban when she said yes to his second proposal?

Answer: in bed

After she said she thought the first ring was hideous, he gave her a beautiful silver ring. She said 'yes' to his proposal that she would "be his forever". In many other circumstances that could be highly romantic, but when said by a powerful Mexican drug lord, it sounded dangerous.

At the end of this episode, Esteban had to call off the marriage. A woman appeared at his home and said a lot of stuff loudly in Spanish, and after she left, Esteban said they could not get married after all.
4. Shane said that people should be able to choose their own names. Nancy said if she had let him do that when he was three years old, his name would now be what?

Answer: Count Chocula Botwin

In the book that had bad baby names, Shane found his own name. It claimed that the name "Shane" actually meant 'a feeling of guilt'. Then she showed Shane her new ring. Esteban had already told everyone, except for Andy, that he was going to propose.
5. Andy was seen standing in front of an old school arcade style video game. Which one was he playing?

Answer: Ms. Pac-man

Andy had, to turn a phrase, gone to seed. He had wasted the Judah money on junk, including arcade games. He was dressed in sloppy clothes, had a face full of crispy hair and appeared to have gained about 20 pounds in his stomach. Andy went on to wax philosophical about how in sync he and she were, and that Ms. Pac-man just 'got' him. I cannot say I was surprised to see that the first woman to really understand Andy was a virtual one.
6. What famous Hollywood entertainment memorabilia did Andy buy, thus helping to waste the 180,000 Judah cash he'd gigoloed from the lady at the bank?

Answer: General Lee from "Dukes of Hazzard"

Andy had bought a ton of worthless junk, including arcade games, foosball table, slot machines, and one of the cars that served as the General Lee car from "The Dukes of Hazzard". It was stashed in the garage with Celia.
7. What was Isabelle doing to Doug when Celia found them in the bathroom?

Answer: spraying on a fake tan

Celia needed a ride to her job at Super Sneakers. Doug couldn't drive until his spray tan completely dried and Andy wouldn't leave "Ms. Pac-man". Isabelle told her mom to have a nice walk to the bus. Celia refused to wear sneakers TO work, though it was part of her work uniform. Instead she was some hot black heels that really hurt her feet. Celia looked cute in her referee outfit.
8. Whose book had Doug been reading, that inspired him to change his way of thinking (and looking)?

Answer: George Hamilton

That was the reason for the fake tan, and creepy parlour lounge-wear. He just could not pull of George Hamilton without looking like he was a creepy dark Hugh Hefner. After hearing about the problem Silas was having with CP, he took his new George philosophy into battle.

He used the "do the dumbest thing possible" rule and attacked CP. CP went to swing at Doug, but missed. He fell head long into a metal cabinet of some sort and hit his head. Silas asked Doug what would George Hamilton do now.
9. While waiting for her bus, a woman stopped and offered Celia a ride.

Answer: True

She was driving a convertible that seemed hot-pink in color. Her name was Raylene Reynolds and she was a regional sales manger for You're Pretty! cosmetics. Celia's shoes had caught her eye, so Raylene backed her car up and spoke to her. She offered Celia a ride, and Celia hopped on the chance! Jamie Denbo played Raylene, who looked a little like 1980s era Madonna.
10. Andy told Nancy that after Esteban died, he would not come by and make pizza eggs. He said that instead he would do what?

Answer: write her a note

Andy was visibly worn out by his six months of misery. He did come to see Nancy at Esteban's casa, and did take the time to fence with Esteban. When it appeared Nancy wanted his blessing on the marriage, he gave her that. But, he did make it clear with his "write a note" statement that he would not be there for her when this whole situation tanked, which it would in one way or another. But, we all know that he will be there for her, she'll just need to grovel a bit first.
