8.12 "The Blame Game" Trivia Quiz

The episode began with a young blonde woman who was alone in her apartment. She was surprised when she glanced at her mirror and saw a bullseye on there. Just then, someone shot her from behind.

Castle was out to lunch with Martha and Alexis when he mentioned a collaboration he had in the works with Stephen King. He joked that it may not work out because King is a Red Sox fan and Castle liked the Yankees. Alexis rolled her eyes at his joke.

The team went to the crime scene to find out more about the victim. Lanie said her name was Emma Matthews and said that she died from a gunshot wound. She claimed that her death occurred between 9 to 11 p.m. The team also wondered why a white van was outside her apartment shortly before her murder.

Kate was at the precinct when she asked Kevin to find out more about the white van outside Emma's apartment. She claimed that she would be at a forensics seminar so she asked him to text her if he got any information. Kate then got a text to meet someone at Nicholas Street.

Kate and Kevin spoke to a few of Emma's co-workers to see if they could get any information from them. They both said that Emma was very pleasant and that she was recently promoted at the company. Kevin asked them if they knew anyone who drove a white van and they said that a co-worker with the surname Buckley owned one.

Castle was knocked out and taken to a discrete location. When he came to, he was surprised to see himself in a room that looked like a classroom. There were three other men there and all of them wondered why this would happen to them. Castle then discovered a camera which was recording them.

While the men were in the room, a gentleman saw a bee and started to panic since he was allergic to bees. He slapped his hand down, which killed the bee but the bee's stinger went into his skin. He said he had an Epipen but they could not locate it.

Castle and the other men saw a television in their room and noticed there was another identical looking room. All of the women in that room were connected to the men. Castle was surprised to see Kate there.

Castle and the other men came upon another clue in the room and it said, "the last one standing will be freed". Kate looked around in the room and also came upon a gun. One person in each of the rooms wanted to shoot the other three and the three people in each room tried to diffuse the situations.

Later on in the episode, Kevin told Javier that he found the name Northcliff after Vikram scrubbed the footage that was used to identify the white van. Kevin stated that Emma used to walk two dogs while she was a teenager and they both belonged to a married couple with the last name Northcliff.

They were psychiatrists and oversaw an unethical experiment over the issue of separation anxiety.
