Bill's father Frank Harlow, played by Bruce Dern, kicked him out when he was fourteen. Bill's life in between age fourteen and the year 2006 is a bit unclear. Bill did leave Juniper Creek, which was founded by his mother's granddad. The community was taken away from Bill's family when Roman Grant decided he was the real Prophet.

2. Barb is Bill's first wife and the only one who has his last name. Barb is played by actress Jeanne Tripplehorn. How many biological children does Bill share with Barb?

Their children are Sarah, Ben, and Tancy. The kids are played by Amanda Seyfried, Douglas Smith, and Jolean Wejbe. You gather in the first few episodes that Barb agreed to become a Polygamist after she had a hysterectomy, which left her barren. Barb had some form of cancer, resulting in the hysterectomy, and was nursed through it by her sister wife Nicki. As of episode eight, "Easter", we do not know if Nicky nursed Barb before or after joining the family as Bill's wife.
Fans of Lindsay Lohan's "Mean Girls" may remember Amanda Seyfried as the 'not quite bright' Karen in the movie.

3. As a mom to Lester and Aaron, Margene Heffman is Bill's third wife. They are not legally married, and do not share a last name. Where did Bill meet Margene?

Margene was an employee at the first Henrickson's Home Plus store, but she was not very good at her job. She was young and a bit flighty, so Bill asked her to babysit his kids. Eventually, Bill, Barb and Nicki asked her to join their growing family. Margene, usually called Margie, is 21 years old in season one. Her sons, Lester and Aaron, are just over a year apart in age and Bill's youngest biological children in season one.

Nicki seems to always stress about her life. I think she feels lonely and caught between her upbringing and her natural self. Nicki's older brother Albert 'Alby' Grant tormented her in one episode, stating that Bill took her as his second wife when he needed a loan from Roman to open his first store.

5. Bill's mother, Lois Henrickson, was the second wife to Frank Harlow. Though Lois hates Frank, and allegedly tried to kill him, Lois requested to become Frank's legal wife. Which wife's death prompted Lois to ask for a promotion to first wife status?

It was episode six "Roberta's Funeral", where Lois said she'd waited forty years to be first wife. She wanted legal rights to any inheritance Frank may have. Lois was the second of what would become five wives, and she gave Frank three children. Joey, Bill's younger brother, has been shown to be a fallen football hero with an addiction problem. Bill's younger sister Maggie drowned in Lake Mead in the mid 1980s.

6. Bill's younger brother by seven years, Joey Henrickson, was an athletic all-star as a young man. He was injured early on and became addicted to pain killers. At the start of the season, Joey married a very pregnant woman named ______.

Wanda is Joey's second cousin. She helped him straighten out his life, and worries about him falling off the sobriety wagon. Wanda hates Frank, Joey's father, because the man is mean spirited. Melora Walters plays Wanda Henrickson. She has a very distinctive voice. You may remember her for a short stint as Debbie in the early days of "Roseanne", she played a girl working in the beauty shop.

She also played Ashton Kutcher's mother, Andrea Treborn, in "The Butterfly Effect"; Lila in "Cold Mountain"; and Claudia in "Magnolia". Shawn Doyle plays Joey. Shawn also had recurring roles on "Desperate Housewives" and "24" in 2004 and 2005.

7. As the most recent "Prophet" of the Polygamist compound, Roman Grant has his fingers in many pies. He makes money hand over fist, but not always in an honest way. He loaned Bill the money to start his first Home Plus store, in which he'd received 15% of the profits for the UEB (their organization). Roman is Nicki's father as well. Which numbered wife is Nicki's mother Adaleen to Roman Grant?

Harry Dean Stanton plays Roman, the man that stole Juniper Creek from under Bill's family. Roman used his power of legal control over Bill, when Bill tried to cut him out of the second Home Plus store. Roman even had his son Alby break into Home Plus to steal information that Bill refused to share with him. In the episode "Easter", it looked like both Bill and Roman were ready to settle their differences. We also found out that Bill's father Frank had been spying for Roman.
Mary Kay Place plays Roman's fourth wife Adaleen. I am not sure how her name is legally Grant, as is Nicki's. Roman does whatever he wants, is what I suspect.

Albert, called Alby most of the time, is his father's "yes man". He works on the book keeping end of things for the UEB. He seems to be willing to do just about anything Roman may ask of him as well, including robbing Home Plus.
Matt Ross plays Alby Grant. Another amazing character actor, Matt's face can be seen all over Hollywood. He starred in 'The Aviator' and 'Good Night and Good Luck', playing life real men. I've seen him on the TV shows "CSI: Miami", "Bones", "Invasion", and the TV mini-series "Rose Red" all in less than a year.

9. Set to be Roman's latest and youngest bride, Rhonda is enjoying her position of power. She comes across as a very direct, but cold young girl, even putting Alby in his place. Rhonda took Sarah's iPod when they came to visit the Henrickson residence. Which "scary" actress portrays Rhonda?

Rhonda is only fourteen. She seems to be well adjusted to her life at Juniper Creek, despite her need for Sarah's iPod. Daveigh Chase won an MTV Movie Award for Best Villain in 2003 for the one of the creepiest roles I've seen- Samara in "The Ring". This beautiful actress has made the rounds on TV as well, guest starring on "The Practice", "ER", "CSI", and "Cold Case".

She had a voice role in the movie "Lilo and Stitch" as well.

10. Played by actress Audrey Wasilewski, who is the nosy neighbor that befriends Margene?

Answer: Pam

Pam Martin and her husband Carl live across the street from Bill's three houses. Curious from day one, Pam's interest turns into nosy after awhile. Margene is so lonely, that she allows Pam into her home, which is a big no-no in their Polygamist environment. Margene isn't the only one tired of the restrictions, as Sarah bring her friend Heather to the house unannounced one night.
Audrey Wasilewski is a great character actress.
She guest starred on "Sabrina", "Party of Five", "Ally McBeal",
"Charmed", "VIP", "ER", "Friends", "Gilmore Girls" and "Six Feet Under" between 1999-2005.
