Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was responsible for rescuing Prince Charming from the queen's dungeon?

Answer: Huntsman

Two guards led Prince Charming out of his cell in the queen's dungeon in order to be executed. They encountered a third guard who shot the two guards and released Prince Charming. This guard turned out to be the huntsman who spared Snow White's life after the queen asked for him to kill her.

After learning that Prince Charming escaped, the queen used her magic to send the prince to the Infinite Forest.
2. Rumplestiltskin made Prince Charming a deal: he'd return Prince Charming's ring if the prince would hide an egg inside the belly of the beast. Who was this beast?

Answer: Maleficent

Trying to find a way out of the Infinite Forest, Prince Charming encountered Rumplestiltskin who took the prince's ring. Rumplestiltskin said he would return the ring if Prince Charming would place an egg containing a true love potion inside the belly of the beast.

This beast turned out to be Maleficent. Prince Charming battled Maleficent, who transformed into a dragon, and was able to place the egg inside her and escape her palace.
3. How did Prince Charming's enchanted ring help him find Snow White?

Answer: The closer he got to Snow White, the brighter it became.

Rumplestiltskin enchanted Prince Charming's wedding ring so that it would become brighter the closer Prince Charming got to Snow White. After placing an egg inside the belly of the beast, Rumplestiltskin handed over the bewitched ring to Prince Charming.

He also gave the prince clothing that looked more royal than what he had on. Prince Charming got on his horse and found Snow White, in deep sleep due to her having taken a bite out of a poisoned apple. Prince Charming kissed Snow White, waking her up.
4. Did Prince Charming propose to Snow White?

Answer: Yes (uninterrupted)

After Prince Charming woke Snow White up, the two of them took a walk near the sea. It was there that Prince Charming got down on one knee and proposed, uninterrupted, to Snow White. The two of them still had to deal with Charming's adopted father, King George, and Snow's step-mother, Queen Regina, but Prince Charming assured her that they would defeat them together.
5. Where was David planning to go to before the curse was broken?

Answer: Boston

David felt bad about all the mistakes he had made, the primary one being dating Mary Margaret Blanchard when he was married to Kathryn. David decided to leave Storybrooke and head to Boston where Kathryn had put a down payment on an apartment. Kathryn planned to move to Boston but due to other events (primarily her abduction), she decided to stay in Storybrooke.
6. Why couldn't Emma enlist the help of August prior to fighting a dragon?

Answer: August was almost completely turned to wood.

August was supposed to help Emma in breaking Regina's curse but he failed. Since he was not selfless, brave, and true, he would slowly revert back to his wooden form. (His fairy tale identity was Pinocchio who was originally created by Gepetto out of wood.) Despite Emma finally believing in the curse, it was still too late to do anything about August; therefore Emma had to fight the dragon by herself.
7. What did Emma eventually use to defeat the dragon?

Answer: sword

Prior to fighting the dragon, Mr. Gold gave Emma a sword that belonged to her father, Prince Charming. With that sword, Emma was able to defeat the dragon. While fighting the dragon, she was initially uncertain of whether the sword would work, so she dropped the sword and tried to shoot the dragon with her gun.

When that didn't work, Emma went back to using the sword. She threw the sword, killing the dragon. With the dragon dead, the egg hidden inside it was released and Emma retrieved it. The dragon was in fact Maleficent, who was trapped in her dragon form.

The egg was the same one that Prince Charming placed inside her as seen in this episode's flashbacks.
8. What did Jefferson do when Regina wouldn't uphold her end of the deal?

Answer: He released Belle from the psychiatric ward she was kept in

Regina and Jefferson originally made a deal: Jefferson would use his magical hat to retrieve a poisoned apple and Regina would give Jefferson's daughter, Grace, her real memories back. Regina claimed the deal was void since it was Henry and not Emma (the original target) who ate the poisoned apple that was baked into an apple pie. Jefferson was not pleased, so he went into the psychiatric ward where Belle was kept, took the keys from the nurse, and released Belle.

He told her to head to Mr. Gold's shop where he would able to protect her and tell Mr. Gold that Regina locked her up.
9. Who awoke Henry from his sleeping curse?

Answer: Emma

Emma and Regina received a call from the hospital. Upon arriving there, they learned that Henry had died. Emma gave him a farewell kiss on the forehead which was able to awaken him from the sleeping curse. True love's kiss can break any curse, and this counted as true love, even though it was love between a mother and her son.

In fact, not only did this wake Henry up, it also broke the queen's curse and everybody within Storybrooke remembered their past lives in the Enchanted Forest.
10. Who brought magic to Storybrooke?

Answer: Mr. Gold

Inside the egg that Emma handed over to Mr. Gold was a bottle of true love. Mr. Gold took the true love potion and went to a well in Storybrooke. The well had the ability to return that which one had lost. Mr. Gold dropped the potion into the well and from the well came purple smoke, which allowed magic to come to Storybrooke. Both Regina and Mr. Gold had their power returned to them as a result of this.
