Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. With whom was the Red Queen in love?

Answer: Will

The Red Queen was in love with Will Scarlet, later to be known as the Knave of Hearts. It was never revealed how they met, but they eventually fell in love with each other. Things changed when the Red Queen met the Red King and he proposed to her, which she accepted.
2. The Red Queen was originally from which land?

Answer: Enchanted Forest

The Red Queen, whose real name was Anastasia, was from the Enchanted Forest. She and her lover, Will Scarlet (who was also from the Enchanted Forest) journeyed to Wonderland through a looking glass that Will took from Maleficent. They both traveled there to start a new life, one that was believed to be better than the life they had in the Enchanted Forest.
3. Who taught the Red Queen magic?

Answer: Cora

Cora, the Queen of Hearts, taught the Red Queen magic. Unlike the Red King who believed magic shouldn't be practiced, Cora had no problem with it. Cora saw a bit of the Red Queen in herself and wished for her to learn magic. It was also Cora who managed to separate Will and Anastasia, although their relationship wasn't as strong as it once was.

She even removed Will's heart from his body at his request.
4. Why couldn't the Jabberwocky get inside Will's head and figure out what he feared?

Answer: He didn't have his heart in his body.

The Jabberwocky could get inside anybody's mind and find out what they feared so long as they had a heart. Will didn't have his heart, because he let Cora take it from him. Alice returned Will's heart to him, but Will never put it back in. His heart remained at his home in Storybrooke, Maine, so Alice and Cyrus traveled there-with the help of the White Rabbit. Jafar put Will's heart inside him and thus the Jabberwocky was able to do her thing.

In Lewis Carroll's story, "Through the Looking Glass", the creature was referred to as the Jabberwock and the poem was called Jabberwocky. In "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland", however, the creature was called the Jabberwocky.
5. The Jabberwocky did not enjoy working for Jafar. Nevertheless, she continued to do so. Why?

Answer: Jafar had control of the Vorpal Blade.

Jafar released the Jabberwocky by releasing the Vorpal Blade that pinned her to a wall, but he kept the blade, so he could have an advantage over her. Jafar guessed that the Jabberwocky feared being a slave to Jafar, since he had control of the Vorpal Blade. Jafar's prolonged hold over the blade got so great that the Jabberwocky went to Alice and asked if they would work together to ensure her freedom.

The degree of sincerity in this proposal was never revealed.
6. Who was responsible for the defeat of the Jabberwocky?

Answer: Jafar

After Jafar gained absolute power, which included the power to change the laws of magic, he decided to test it on the Jabberwocky and asked her what she felt from him. She replied that he feared nothing. Then he took the Vorpal Blade and stuck it threw her and into a wall, causing her to be defeated once more.
7. Why did Jafar get turned into a genie?

Answer: Jafar stole water from a well upsetting its guardian.

A long time ago, Cyrus's mother, Amara, was badly burned, and he stole water from the well in order to heal her. Cyrus and Amara planned on returning the water to the well in order to restore balance and free Amara's sons (who were genies) and restore balance to Wonderland.
Jafar magically got a hold of the water and destroyed it. However, as Alice pointed out, Jafar didn't steal the water from Cyrus: he stole it from the well. This upset the guardian, Nyx, and caused her to punish Jafar by turning him into a genie.
8. From what land were Jafar and Amara?

Answer: Agrabah

Jafar and Amara both hailed from Agrabah. Jafar met Amara when he was just a young boy, and she was responsible for teaching him magic. When Jafar believed he learned enough, he no longer had a use for Amara and he turned her into his snake staff.
9. Why did Amara want ownership of the three genie bottles?

Answer: To rescue her sons

Cyrus, one of Amara's sons, stole water from a well to heal his mother who was badly burned. Because he stole the water, he and his two brothers were transformed into genies, placed into bottles, and vanished. It was Amara's desire to be reunited with her sons.
To do this, she needed another person, and when Jafar asked her to teach him magic, she found her other people. She tricked Jafar into thinking she wanted their powers to transcend the rules of magic, which was what Jafar wanted.
10. By the end of the series, what happened to Amara?

Answer: She died.

Amara wished to return water to the well that had originally been stolen from that well. Despite Cyrus's wishes that she not go (that way he wouldn't lose her mother), Amara insisted. However, Jafar arrived and killed her to prevent the water from being returned to the well.
