1. In which revolutionary comedy were these characters from; Wolfie, Ken, Shirley, Tucker, and Speed?

Answer: Citizen Smith

'Citizen Smith' was written by John Sullivan, who later went on to write the hugely successful 'Only Fools and Horses'. Robert Lindsay (Wolfie) was the leader of the 'Tooting Popular Front', and was fond of saying; 'Freedom for Tooting' and 'Power to the People'!
Wolfie may have fancied himself as an urban revolutionary, unfortunately he was just a jobless petty criminal.
2. In which Bolly quaffing sitcom would you find Edina, Patsy, Saffy and Bubble?

Answer: Absolutely Fabulous

Joanna Lumley and Jeniffer Saunders were absolutely fabulous as Patsy and Eddy. The show had many celebrities such as Lulu, Elton John, Debbie Harry and Graham Norton appear in cameo roles.

Answer: The Office

'The Office' was created and written by Ricky Gervais, who was the boss David Brent in this mockumentary style comedy, set in a fictional office in Slough. Brent thought he was a great boss to work for, in reality he was incompetent and embarrassing.
4. This comedy was taken off air in 1976 despite being hugely popular with viewers. Can you remember this ill-fated sitcom that featured Eddie and Joan Booth?

Answer: Love Thy Neighbour

This politically incorrect sitcom was based on a white couple living next door to a black couple. It ran from 1972 to 1976. The two men resorted to racist name-calling and were as bigoted as each other.

Answer: The Young Ones

'The Young Ones' was written by Ben Elton, Rik Mayall (Rick) and Lise Mayer. The four main characters were students at the fictional Scumbag College. Vyvyan was the violent punk, Rick was the nerd, Neil was the hippy and Mike was the cool one. They all shared a filthy student house. One of the most memorable episodes was 'Bambi' in which the four students appeared on 'University Challenge'.

"'Allo 'Allo" was created and written by David Croft and Jeremy Lloyd. It was broadcast from 1982 to 1992. Rene Artois was the flustered cafe owner in the small French village that was occupied by the Germans.

Answer: The Likely Lads

'The Likely Lads' was written by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. The two main characters were played by James Bolam and Rodney Bewes. The series came to an end when James Bolam's character, Terry, joined the army.

Their attempts to impress him in the hope of escaping Craggy Island always ended in disaster.
