The judges are Michael Kors, Nina Garcia, and Heidi Klum. Tim Gunn helps the designers make their clothing but is not a judge. Marc Jacobs and Betsy Johnson are designers but not on the show. Michael Kors is one of the most famous designer in the world, and is known for making chic, luxurious sportswear.

The winner of "Project Runway" gets a mentorship at Banana Republic, $100,000 to launch their own line, a 2007 Saturn SkyRoadster, and a spread in "Elle" magazine.

At first there are 16 people, and from then on they compete against each other in weekly design challenges. One person gets kicked off each week, until only three remain and they get time to create a collection. In February, they face off against each other at Fashion Week in New York City, and only one winner is picked.

They also got a spread in "Elle" magazine shot by renowned photographer Gilles Bensimon. Bensimon also shoots the spread for the winner of the show "America's Next Top Model", and was once married to supermodel Elle MacPherson.

We heard Tim Gunn repeat this mantra throughout the season, trying to give inspiration to the designers in hard times. Santino often makes fun of Tim behind his back for this throughout the season.
