The Wysanti are a humanoid species native to the Delta Quadrant. The young, twin Borg drones rescued by Voyager in "Collective" are Wysanti.

The Krowtonans were the first species that the Equinox met in the Delta Quadrant. Captain Ransom says that the Krowtonan Guard claimed that Equinox had violated their territory, but he gave the order to travelling through their space. He lost half of his crew (39 people) to them.

Ensign Gilmore tells Kim and Chakotay about meeting the Ponea. The Equinox crew gave the Ponea the nickname "the life of the Delta Quadrant" because the Ponea see every first contact as an excuse to throw a party. The Ponea provided the Equinox with a synaptic stimulator, which she describes as a "poor man's holodeck".

The Equinox crew traded one of their energy converters for the summoning device so that they could study the nucleogenic life-forms more closely.

Janeway is furious with Ransom. She tells him that it is never easy to cling to principles, but if we turn our backs on our principles we stop being human. This scene marks a major turn in how Janeway acts towards the Equinox crew and especially Ransom moving forward.
