Answer: Spike

Spike was sired by Drusilla, who had been sired by Angelus, on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". He arrived in Sunnydale in season two, and had quite the character arc. He fell in love with Buffy, the slayer, and left town in season six to regain his soul. He went through several trials in order to be restored. When he came home, the First Evil used his humanity against him by triggering a memory of his mother, whom he'd turned into a vampire to save her life. James Marsters played Spike, Juliet Landau played Drusilla, and Mercedes McNab played Harmony. Buffy once referred to Spike as a peroxide pest, because he bleached his hair and was annoying. Spike pursued Cecily, Drusilla, and Buffy. All who, at one time, wanted nothing to do with him.

All of the characters listed appeared as vampires and humans at some point on the series. Image- a railroad spike, which is how he got his name.

Answer: Stefan Salvatore

Stefan and Elena Gilbert were doppelgangers, fated to fall in love and descended from an epic original love story. Stefan saved Elena's life on the night her adoptive parents drowned, and the pair eventually fell in love. Unfortunately, Stefan's older brother Damon also loved Elena, and her feelings for this redeemable bad boy grew over the seasons. Elena was unintentionally turned into a vampire as well, though her brother (and cousin) Jeremy Gilbert was not. Jeremy's destiny was that of a vampire hunter. Tyler Lockwood, son of the Mystic Falls mayor, was a werewolf, then a hybrid (thanks Klaus Mikaelson), then back to just a werewolf. Paul Wesley played Stefan and Nina Dobrev played Elena. Alaric was turned into an Original vampire by Klaus' mother Esther, but he did not stay one.

Caroline was always doing her best to save everyone's collective behinds, before and after being turned into a vampire. She and the witch, Bonnie Bennett, helped Elena through the many trials and tribulations of loving vampire men. When Sheriff Forbes died, it upset the balance in Mystic Falls. Not only was Caroline saddened to the point of turning off her humanity, but Damon had once more lost another close friend. It was the budding romance between Caroline and Stefan that brought her back from all out evil. Candice Accola played Caroline. She became Candice King when she married in 2014.

Answer: Our mother

Yes, Rebekah's dear sweet witchy mum turned her children into the first vampires in order to keep them alive, over 1000 years before the events of "The Vampire Diaries". She traded her first born, Freya, to her sister in order to be able to be a witch. After the birth of Klaus, fathered by a werewolf, Esther's family was in danger from other werewolves. So, she turned her husband and children into vampires to protect them. Rebekah had many hard times with Klaus as the years wore on, as he would dagger her whenever he felt the need to protect her from her own choices (men!) On "The Originals", Claire Holt continued to portray Rebekah, but at times other actresses would play her, as the character inhabited other bodies. Amara was the first "Elena" if you will, who began the doppelganger lineage.

Answer: Los Angeles

Liam was turned into a vampire by Darla in the 1750s. They spent over 150 years together before she brought him a beloved Gypsy girl. Angelus used her and killed her as Darla watched, and so he was cursed by her family in 1898. He was given back his soul so that all of the evil deeds he'd done would haunt him for eternity. The only loop hole in the curse was that if he ever experienced one true moment of happiness, his soul would be taken away again, without warning. That happened in season two of "BtVS", and Buffy was forced to send him to Hell. He got his soul back (thanks to Willow) just before Buffy sent him away, so when he returned, he had a soul. Buffy's mom, Joyce, convinced Angel to leave town, so he headed to Los Angeles and formed a detective agency there. Wesley and Cordelia joined him on his mission. David Boreanaz played Angel. He went on to star on the Fox series "Bones".

Answer: Klaus

Klaus came to Mystic Falls in season two of "TVD" in order to regain his werewolf powers, which Esther had bound to a mysterious object known as a moonstone. He had to offer up a sacrifice ritual with a werewolf, a vampire and a Petrova doppelganger (Elena Gilbert). This was when Elena's aunt Jenny died. Caroline saw more in Klaus than just the brutal sadist he fancied himself. The pair eventually consummated their relationship just once, before Klaus found himself bound to the city of New Orleans, which he'd once spent many years calling home. He met Hayley, a werewolf, in Mystic Falls and the pair somehow conceived a child. Their daughter was named Hope, and Hope saved Hayley when her blood mixed with Hayley's and turned her into a hybrid. "The Originals" has showcased 1000 years worth of ups and downs for the Mikaelsons, and gives bleak look at immortality. Joseph Morgan plays Klaus, and does so expertly.

Answer: Daylight rings

Stefan and Damon had their rings from before the show began, given to them by Katherine. Bonnie made one for Caroline and Elena after they were turned. I believe Esther made rings for her Original family. Damon fell in love with Elena, and despite her best efforts, she fell for him as well. This left Stefan open to find love with Caroline. Damon and Stefan's mother Lillian, thought to be long dead, came out of a Gemini coven prison world and had a witch spell Bonnie and Elena's lives together. As long as Bonnie lived, Elena would be comatose, but could resume her life as a vampire after Bonnie passed away. This allowed Nina Dobrev to leave the series, but not kill Elena. Ian Somerhalder played Damon.

Answer: Moonlight

At the start of the series, Mick believed Coraline to be dead. But, she returned to further make him question his existence. He was an investigator who did not hurt innocents to feed, much like Angel was on his show, and had a close friend and mentor played by Jason Dohring from "Veronica Mars". Mick had a romantic relationship with a reporter named Beth. He'd saved Beth 22 years earlier, and she remembered bits and pieces of that experience. Alex O'Loughlin played Mick. He went on to star on the successful reboot of "Hawaii Five-0". "Moonlight" may have been renewed for a second season if not for the disruption caused by the 2007-2008 Writers Guild of America strike.

Way back, before they arrived in America, the Original siblings were forced to flee from their father Mikael, who wanted to kill them. One day, on the road, they encountered a chance to impersonate a group of well to dos on their way to spend time with royals. They were aided in this by a human servant named Lucien, who became the first made vampire, ever. While staying at a castle, and pretending to be people they were not, the Original family over stayed their welcome. Klaus fell in love with Lucien's love interest, Aurora, which forced Elijah to compel her for the first time. He did not even realize they had that power, but as he spoke his wishes to Aurora, he realized she believed everything he said as true. He told her to rid herself of Klaus, and to be unkind when she did so. That was the only way to get Klaus to leave without her.

Answer: Eric Northman

Eric was played by actor Alexander Skarsgard. Eric on "True Blood" turned out to be a lot different than his counterpart in the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris. The first season was very good, and followed the first book very closely. But, subsequent seasons saw the show writers taking the series far off track, and losing the integrity of the characters. I couldn't even finish the TV show, as it was so badly written. Bill Compton on the series was given way more screen time than his character had in the books. In the books, Bill became quickly irrelevant in Sookie's life.

Josef Kostan was a vampire on "Moonlight" and played by Jason Dohring. In 2015, Jason began playing on the CW vampire series "The Originals".
