The submarine was a sea wolf class submarine and was supposed to report in at 2:00 PM, but hadn't so Leo and Nancy got teams ready to go in and get it if necessary.
2. Why were President Bartlet and Charlie going to New Hampshire?

Answer: President Bartlet was turning in his nomination for President

The President told Charlie that this was the last time he could ever run for anything. He was waylaid from getting on Marine One by Leo who told him that the submarine may have gone quiet.
3. What song was CJ singing in her office?

Answer: I'm Too Sexy

Carol had to explain the song to CJ because she didn't know what it meant.
4. Who played Albie Duncan, the Assistant Secretary of State?

Answer: Hal Holbrook

Hal Holbrook, Gerald McRaney, and William Devane have all starred in "The West Wing". Leo wanted Albie Duncan at the White House just in case they needed help making phone calls if it turned out there was a problem with the submarine. The President didn't want Albie in the White House because he knew Albie would scold him for losing a submarine.
