"Grease: You're the One that I Want" Quiz

During this tense time of Grease Academy, all of the contestants were lined up in rows. They were instructed to sing the popular Grease song "Tears On My Pillow" in unison. While singing this, David Ian walked among them and tapped them on the shoulder to signify that they were eliminated from the competition. By the end of this grueling sing-off, half of the potential Danny's and Sandy's had been eliminated.

Answer: "True Colors"

During the final showcase, all of the contestants were split into groups of 4 where they had to sing a pop number that showcased the emotions of Danny and Sandy. Ashley Spencer, Cara Hille, Lexi, Rhoades, and Allie Schulz were grouped together and sang a heartfelt rendition of "True Colors."

Answer: Ashley Anderson and Matt Nolan

Viewers were lead to believe that there would only be twelve finalists, but to our surprise, on the first live show, two contestants were brought back--Ashley Anderson and Matt Nolan. These two contestants were eliminated during the last cut of Grease Academy. Both were described as being very "green" and had voices that just weren't strong enough for Broadway.

Answer: Baby Sandy

Allie Schulz was given the "Sandy" nickname of "Baby Sandy" because she is the youngest potential Sandy in the competition at the age of nineteen.

Answer: Laura Osnes

Back at home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Laura Osnes plays Sandy in a regional show, but she sees this as her chance to really fulfill her dream of playing Sandy on Broadway.

Answer: His arms

While many would say Derek Keeling definitely has the overall look of Danny, co-writer Jim Jacobs exclaimed that Derek definitely had the arms of Danny Zuko.

Answer: Kate Rockwell

Kate Rockwell has said that she has enjoyed working in the food service industry while waiting to make it on Broadway. She has been a waitress, a hostess, and even a pizza delivery girl.

Answer: Chad Doreck

Apparently, Chad Doreck has always been around people of Broadway. During his interview on the first live show, he proclaimed that he was the last of his friends not to make it on Broadway, so this is his chance.

Answer: Her stellar acting

Kathleen Monteleone found herself in the bottom four two times where she had to sing for her survival for the judges. On both occasions, she was saved from going home. Both times, she was saved because, as Broadway director Kathleen Marshall put it, "she's one of the best actresses we have."

Answer: Week 3

During the third week of live shows, the contestants were paired up to see if they had the chemistry required of Danny and Sandy. The pairs were Max and Ashley S., Chad and Allie, Derek and Kate, Austin and Laura, and Kevin and Kathleen.
