Answer: Constantine and the Celts

As Eve and Mike walk into the costume shop he is telling Eve about the history of Halloween. According to Mike it is a Christian holiday that Constantine made as a result of a deal with the Celts. Eve says yes she knows he just told her about it in the truck ride over. Later on, Kristin parrots the same facts back to Mike and he is impressed she remembers.

Answer: Skeleton

Mike gets Boyd a skeleton costume but Kristin does not want Boyd going trick or treating because he is too young to be around such morbid imagery. Mike is disappointed and discusses it later with Ed. Once Halloween comes, Mike cannot resist taking Boyd out.

At the end of the episode when Kristin finds out Mike took Boyd out and lost Boyd she is furious. But then she asks if Boyd had fun. She is really angrier at missing Boyd's first Halloween than the fact Mike didn't listen to her. Mike says there is still time to go out with Boyd but she says she only will if Mike comes.

Answer: Pirate

Mike and Eve come home from the costume shop to find Vanessa dressed in a very provocative pirate outfit. Her outfit even says Booty on the rear. When their neighbor comes to the door with his kids trick or treating he sees Vanessa and almost has a heart attack.

He comes back several times to see Vanessa. When Jimmy Wong's parents come to bring Boyd back and pick up Jimmy, the father is angry at first until he sees Vanessa's outfit. Then he gets in trouble with his wife.

Mandy wanted Mike to pick up a revealing kitten costume for her but when he saw it he refused. Instead he brought home a Garfield outfit with head and all. Mandy put the head on and said it smelled like someone puked in it. Later on she leaves the house in the costume but when she returns she is dressed in a black coat.

Her mom asks her to take it off and she has on a skimpy cat outfit. She says it is the Garfield costume, the ears are her bra and she still has the tail.

Answer: Green Berets

Mike comes out dressed in tiger stripe camouflage fatigues, the uniform of the Green Berets in Vietnam and the uniform Wayne wore in the movie "Green Berets". "The Longest Day" was about D-Day in WWII and the "Sands of Iwo Jima" was about the Pacific War in WWII. In both of these movies Wayne wore the olive drab fatigues of the era. "True Grit" was a cowboy movie.

After Mike has Vanessa guess which movie, he gets Boyd and brings him out in his skeleton costume. He then decides to take him trick or treating against Kristin's wishes.

Eve tells her mom Victor says Halloween is for kids even though she still likes it. Because of this she did not want to go trick or treating with her father and was moping around the house.

Answer: Dracula

Ed goes all out for Halloween and decorates his house like many people decorate their houses for Christmas. He is dressed as Dracula. When Mike shows up with Boyd Ed asks if Kristin changed her mind and Mike says no. Then Ed asks if he is afraid of how Kristin will react. He says he is a Green Beret, he can handle Kristin.

Answer: Elvira Mistress of the Dark

Ed says he decorated the house so elaborately to impress his new lady friend. When Elvira comes out Mike says she looks like Elvira and Elvira says that's because she is Elvira. Ed says he only goes first class. Elvira then says she is going to mix up some very Bloody Marys and returns inside. Mike says she goes all out for Halloween but Ed says she does not even know it is Halloween.

Mike says that then explains he is talking about deer because deer season takes place around Halloween in Colorado. He then starts talking about gun safety and introduces a gun safety expert who is frozen with fear of the camera. Mike calls off the shoot and goes to complain to Ed.

Victor shows up dressed as a cop to ask Eve to go over to his house to hang out and hand out candy. Eve says she thought he didn't like Halloween. Victor replies he doesn't but he knows Eve does so he came over in costume. Mike says it is okay for her to go over to Victor's.
