"Last Man Standing" 5.2 Trivia Quiz

All of the girls were supposed to go see a Ryan Gosling movie together but Eve and Mandy had already seen it. They had trouble keeping the truth from their mother and finally spilled the beans at the theater. Vanessa chastised them for not waiting and the theater crowd got angry that they were all talking when the movie started.

Answer: Magazines

Mandy was reading a magazine when Eve came in and said she couldn't believe Vanessa still got them since you could get everything in the magazine on your iPad. Eve then took the magazine and smacked a bug on the table saying that is what magazines are good for.

Ed was bemoaning the fact that none of their kids' gear was selling. Mike blamed it on scared parents. Several times in the episode Mike reminisced about how things were when he was a kid and how it was now to be a kid. Chuck and Ed joined in with him.

Ed decided to open a prepper department. Kristin was going to call preppers nuts until her father informed her Ed was a prepper and that he also had a bunker in the hills. When Kristin asked him where it was he would not tell her. Ed also held a prepper seminar that scared Kyle to death and panicked the attendees.

Ryan was paranoid to let Boyd walk home alone but Mike talked him into it since it was only six blocks from the school to Mike's house. Eve and Mandy said it was no big deal, they had done it when they were young, but then mentioned their younger brother Oliver who had gone missing. This was untrue and Ryan did not appreciate the joke.

Vanessa said she felt like ordering the tickets online was like being in "The Jetsons". The girls did not consider it a big deal but to Vanessa it was. The remark demonstrated how different the generations are who grow up with technology and those who saw technology develop as adults.

Answer: That the star's girlfriend is the killer

When Eve tells Mandy Ryan Gosling's girlfriend was the killer, Mandy acted shocked. Eve said, "I thought you saw the movie" and Mandy said, "I thought I did too." She then admitted it made more sense now. After Vanessa lectured the girls about waiting to see the movie together she then tipped her hand that she had already seen it.

While leaving the theater Vanessa told the audience the girlfriend was the killer to ruin it for them and it became clear she had already seen it too.

Answer: Put a GPS chip on his coat

Ryan was picked up by Chuck for waiting in the bushes by the school to watch Boyd then while at Mike's got caught looking at his phone. Mike saw he had a GPS map of where Boyd was so Ryan confessed what he did. Unfortunately Boyd traded his jacket with another kid and Chuck, Mike, and Ryan thought Boyd was being kidnapped.

Answer: Taylor Swift

Mike attributed the quote to Taylor Swift then said, "If that ain't scary, I don't know what is." Later on when Mike was having the seminar at Outdoorman to introduce parents to all of the fun things the store had for kids to do, Ryan showed up with Boyd. Ryan used the quote and when Mike asked him if he saw the vlog, Ryan said no, he heard the quote from Taylor Swift.

Answer: The news media

Mike blamed the news media for all the gloom and doom reporting for making parents overprotective today. He said the fear center of the brain reacts faster than the rational center but that mankind cannot let the fear center win. When Ryan asked Mike if he was scared when they thought Boyd was kidnapped he said yes but he didn't let that control him so he could think about what to do to fix the situation. Ryan admitted his fear center was stronger and overcame his rational side.
