Answer: "The Godfather"

Al Pacino was in "Serpico" in 1973, James Caan in "Slither" in 1972, and Robert Duvall in "Joe Kidd" in 1972. All three starred along side Marlon Brando in 1972's "The Godfather".

Answer: Willow

The first movie, "The Stepford Wives", was released in 1975. A remake of that film came in 2004 and starred Nicole Kidman, Matthew Broderick, Bette Midler, and Christopher Walken. Stepford was a small community where the men had gathered at "the Lodge" and decided to turn their wives in to "mindless automatons". That phrase, "mindless automatons", was used by Spike in the season six episode "Bargaining"-
"Schools are just factories, spewing out mindless little automatons." The reference to "Stepford" would come again in the "Angel" episode "Sacrifice" in season four, by way of Lorne.

More "Stepford" movies followed after the 1975 release. "Revenge of the Stepford Wives" in 1980 and "Stepford Husbands" in 1996, and both of these were made for TV.

Answer: Blade

In both the comics and in the action movie of 1998, Blade has a human side kick named Whistler. Kris Kristofferson played Whistler opposite Wesley Snipe's Blade in three "Blade" movies. The "Buffy" character of Whistler was planned to cross-over to the "Angel" series, but that never did pan out. Angel's hero side kick became Doyle until he sacrificed himself and passed his visions on to Cordelia.

In the story "Jack and the Beanstalk", Jack trades a practical thing for an impractical thing- a handful of beans. The beans turn out to be magical and take Jack high into the sky for an adventure. Johnny Appleseed saved settlers in the Ohio Territory during the War of 1812 when Native American indians were forced to join the British. John Henry was a freed slave who out hammered a steam powered drill.

He used a twenty pound hammer in each hand and carved two seven foot holes into a rock mountain, while the drill managed one 9 foot hole in the 35 minute time frame. Sadly, John died moments afterward from a burst blood vessel in his brain!

Answer: Herbert Marx

Julius was Groucho (1890-1977), Leonard was Chico (1887-1961), Adolph was Harpo (1888-1964), and Milton was Gummo Marx (1982-1977). Herbert "Zeppo" Marx (1901-1979) was the youngest of the famous Marx Brothers. He was first given the nickname Zippo, but felt that Zeppo was more appealing.

Many people have cited Zeppo as the funniest of the Marx brothers, but was always left out in that role and had to play the somber or straight act.

Answer: Chris

Chris arranged for the fiasco at the Prom, and caused a bucket of pig's blood to fall down onto Carrie as she accepted the role of Prom Queen. Carrie did not take the humiliation too well and a killed many of the people at the dance. In "Buffy" Tucker's crazy legacy continued in the form of his younger brother Andrew. Andrew was initially seen as an opponent of hers, but went on to aid Buffy in season seven.

He atoned for his sin of murdering Jonathan Levinson and became one of the gang in their fight against the First.

Answer: Hugh Hefner

Hugh Hefner is the founder of "Playboy" magazine, and known to be quite a ladies man. Buffy was uncomfortable with her view of Giles the bachelor. She did not want to know he had a personal life and was quite uncomfortable finding Olivia and Giles in robes!

Spike: "I'm chained in a bathtub, drinking pig's blood from a novelty mug. Doesn't rate huge in the 'Zagat's Guide'." This guide is one of restaurants. It is made up from surveys done on a place's ability to offer good food, decoration, atmosphere and service. A new one comes out each year.

Answer: "The Exorcist"

Linda Blair received an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of Regan in "The Exorcist". It turned out, though, that she did not do the voice acting for her demon possession. When the news came, after she was nominated, it spoiled her chances at actually winning the award.

In this episode of "Angel", Ryan's demon wanted out of Ryan, but was trapped there. After its release, the demon tells Angel that Ryan was the blackest place he'd ever been inside. Ryan tries to kill his entire family at the end, but Angel rushes over and saves them before their house could burn down with them all inside. "Buffy" fans may remember Cordy mentioning she'd seen the movie in the episode "I Only Have Eyes For You".

Answer: Lestat

Buffy: "'Cause I've fought more than a couple pimply, overweight vamps that called themselves Lestat." Lestat appears in many of Anne's novels, including "Interview With The Vampire", "The Vampire Lestat", "Queen of the Damned", "The Tale of the Body Thief", "Memnoch the Devil", and "Blackwood Farm".

Answer: The "Star Wars" series

Jawas are seemingly faceless with glowing eyes inside hoods. They travel across their home planet, Tatooine, looking for discarded machinery. Answer: Wile E. Coyote

Wile was always doing whatever it took to catch that pesky roadrunner! He'd drop anvils, bombs, Acme bricks, and even paint an imaginary tunnel on the side of a mountain. Roadrunner never had a problem traveling through that tunnel, but Wile would always run smack into the rock!

Answer: "Oh there you are, you really are under all that dirt. "

Ripley said all but "they cut the power" to Newt in the movie "Aliens". Dawn said it to Buffy as she was cleaning her, after Buffy's escape from her coffin.

Answer: "Babylon 5"

Andrew states that he hopes Buffy solves the mummy hand riddle faster than it took Data to solve the time loop on "TNG"'s episode "Cause and Effect". Warren and Andrew joke about the "Monty Python" skit (where a man buys a bird that is already dead), when Buffy tries to get her customer to accept the mummy hand after she'd killed it.

Then, Warren chimes back in with a comparison to the "X-Files" episode where the bank keeps blowing up over and over called "Monday". Though Andrew is a "Babylon 5" fan (along with Xander) he does not compare the time loop with any episode from that series.

Yeats was born in Ireland and fell in love with Maud Gonne in 1889. She married another man in 1903 and that inspired the poem "No Second Troy". He received a Nobel Prize for Literature in 1923. He died 16 years later at age 74. All of the options are titles of his works.

Answer: Faith

Wesley came to the prison to get Faith, so she busted out to help save Angel from Angelus. After she injected herself with the drug Orpheus, Angelus drank from her. The two went into a deep sleep and Faith played the role of Angel's conscience, as Jacob Marley did for Scrooge in "A Christmas Carrol".
Angelus: "This sucks! Why do you get to be Marley's ghost?"

Answer: "The Vampire Lestat"

Yes, Lestat also had a fondness for the only person who ever really loved him in his human life. His mother was also deathly ill, so Lestat saved her in the only way he could. He made her a vampire and their involvement subsequently ended. Spike's mother tried to seduce him first, so Spike staked her.

Answer: "Harry Potter"

In the books and movies of the "Harry Potter" series, Percy Weasley is Head Boy. This episode showed Wesley's father and the cause of all his youthful tensions. But, in the end Wes had to chose between Fred and his father and he killed his father. The only problem was that it turned out to be an A.I. version of Mr. Wyndam-Pryce.

Answer: "Alien"

I did not noticed much in "Alien", but in the sequel "Aliens" I did see the name of the company several times. You can see more of it in the "Aliens" extended version dvd. Joss Whedon wrote the fourth installment of the "Alien" franchise called "Alien Resurrection", so having him (or main episode writers Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain) insert this homage to that series is not surprising. All Weyland-Yutani was interested in was getting that darn alien for their bio-weapons division.
