Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In Leg 1, teams raced through the Sea-to-Sky Corridor outside of which city in British Columbia?

Answer: Squamish

The first leg of the race was held entirely in British Columbia as teams crossed Vancouver Island and took the ferry across to Squamish to complete a series of tasks along the Sea-to-Sky Corridor, leaping through mountains and ascending timber to complete their first Road Block tasks.

The leg ended in at the Britannia Mine Museum north of Vancouver where Chewy and Happy became the first team eliminated from the race.
2. In the second leg of the race, teams flew to Dawson City, ending the leg atop which of these local locations?

Answer: Midnight Dome

Leg 2 was the only leg of the race that took teams to the territories in this season (the first visit since the start of season 4) and this time, teams stopped off at the mining city of Dawson City, Yukon, known for the Klondike Gold Rush. The visit included a hunt for one of three Express Passes scattered around the city though teams also engaged in activities for their first Detour, both of which involved entertainment (they learned the can-can or gambled at a local casino).

The leg ended atop the Midnight Dome where Zainab and Monica were spared by a non-elimination Pit Stop.
3. In Leg 3, teams enjoyed blueberry pies in the town of Ganges on what famous Canadian island?

Answer: Salt Spring Island

The third leg of the race brought teams back to British Columbia after their bout in the Yukon and sent them, via seaplane, to Salt Spring Island where, upon arrival, they needed to head to the Saturday market and share two full blueberry pies before commencing the bulk of the leg.

The task proved extremely difficult for most and two of the teams utilized the Express Pass to avoid elimination. The third Express Pass was also used this leg due in part to the time it took to complete the pie-eating. Leg 3 also included a Speed Bump for Zainab and Monica and another double Road Block before the Pit Stop (where Joseph and Akash were sent home).
4. Leg 4 took place almost entirely in what Asian nation?

Answer: Indonesia

Leg 4 pushed teams out of British Columbia and Canada's West Coast and into Southeast Asia, specifically to Jakarta, Indonesia, where a series of physical, creepy crawly, and meticulous tasks awaited to take advantage of local customs and the like. In addition to carrying durians through Jakarta's old port, teams contended with a Blind Double U-Turn and handled snakes and leeches before spending a Road Block memorizing a traditional Saman dance. Todd and Anna ended up eliminated in Merdeka Square, barely losing a footrace to Adam and Courtney.
5. In Leg 6, one clue specifically asked the teams to board the TTC, taking them underground in what Canadian City?

Answer: Toronto

The TTC, which stands for 'Toronto Transit Commission', is responsible for the subway lines throughout Downtown Toronto, and after completing a Road Block task at Yonge-Dundas Square in the heart of Downtown Toronto, teams had to board at Dundas Station and ride to Lansdowne to find the Monkey's Paw, a bookstore in the west end of the city. During this leg, teams also had to face the second of two Double U-Turns, work for a local food bank, and check in at the Pit Stop on the Toronto Waterfront, crossing the halfway mark for the race.
6. Teams spent Leg 7 in Manitoba, but started Leg 8 at what famous, windy, Canadian intersection?

Answer: Portage and Main

In Leg 7, teams flew from Toronto to Winnipeg for a leg set entirely within Manitoba's capital. Teams had opportunities to navigate the city's streets, but the leg also featured the season's first Face Off giving them the opportunity to battle in head-to-head matches of darts at a Royal Canadian Legion Hall. Teams also got the chance to visit the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, The Forks Market, and (if they chose to) the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Teams ended Leg 7 in Assiniboine Park, but started leg 8 at Portage and Main before flying out of province.
7. The potato fields of which province acted as a backdrop for tasks in Leg 8?

Answer: Prince Edward Island

Although Leg 8 started teams off with a scavenger hunt through Charlottetown, the capital of P.E.I., teams spent much of the leg traveling across the island to Rustico and into Cavendish for more activities. In this leg, teams deciphered word puzzles, planted potatoes in the nutrient-rich soils of the province, and played a round of Zombie Paintball before checking in at the Pit Stop in Prince Edward Island National Park. Leanne and Mar, frontrunners for most of the race, elected to take a penalty to avoid completing the Zombie Paintball task and they were eliminated in sixth place as a result.
8. Jai Alai, the Day of the Dead, and classic telenovelas all featured in Leg 9, which took teams to what international capital city?

Answer: Mexico City

The ninth leg of the race was the second international outing of the season, sending teams racing through the expansive Mexico City for a series of tasks relating to arts, culture, and entertainment. After a Road Block involving Jai Alai, teams painted each others' faces for Dia de los Muertas or made a fresh pico de gallo for the Detour. Before checking in at the Pit Stop at Alameda Central, racers had the chance to act in an overdramatic telenovela. Five teams whittled down to four by the end with Nancy and Mellisa being eliminated from the race.
9. Teams commenced Leg 10 of the race by heading to the Garrison District of what Canadian provincial capital?

Answer: Fredericton

Leg 10 sent teams from Mexico City to Fredericton, New Brunswick, the final provincial capital to be visited on any season of "The Amazing Race Canada". This visit gave teams the opportunity to step foot onto Canadian Forces Base Gagetown to complete a demanding Detour, to compete in a game of wheelchair basketball for a Face Off at the University of New Brunswick, and to learn a few words in the Wolastoquey language at the Road Block.

In the end, the three teams heading to the finale were decided at the Pit Stop.
10. The race had its last leg what Canadian National Park?

Answer: Banff National Park

The final leg of the race sent teams to the Rocky Mountains, leading them through Calgary, Canmore, and Banff as they raced to the finish line for the grand prize. Courtney and Adam crossed the finish line in first place, but not before taking a helicopter ride to the top of Mount Fable, completing a gauntlet of tasks for a Road Block at Sunshine Village, and completing an intense final memory challenge recounting the eleven legs of the race.

The finish line was situated on hole five of the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Club.
