Kochanski is Lister's ex-girlfriend who joins the crew from an alternate Universe in Series 7, after dying in the stasis leak on Red Dwarf. She is Lister's Mother through some strange time travel in the Series 7 episode 'Ouroboros'. Lister is also his own Father.

Answer: Captain Hollister

Captain Hollister appears in series 1 and 2 as well. He is responsible for Lister being put into stasis and therefore living through the crisis on Red Dwarf. He once dressed up as a chicken for a fancy dress party.

David Ross was asked to come back to play Kryten when the character returned in series 3, but he was unavailable. In a later series, David Ross was the voice of Talkie Toaster. Robert Llewellyn played the neurotic Kryten from series 3 onwards.

The waxwork Caligula threatens to torture Lister and Cat in strange ways instructing his sidekick Rasputin to 'Bring in the bucket of soapy frogs and remove his trousers!' and 'Bring hither the skin-diving suit with the bottom cut out and unleash the rampant wildebeest!'!

Rimmer loves life on board the Holoship, mostly because they have to have sex at least twice a day. In the end he sacrifices his happiness for Officer Crane. It would be sweet if it wasn't Rimmer.

Robert Llewellyn played both characters. At the beginning, Kryten disapproved of Able's use of the drug Otrazone, but forgives him when he sacrifices himself to save the crew.

Lee Cornes once auditioned for the part of Rimmer. He played Paranoia in the episode "Confidence and Paranoia". Craig Ferguson played Confidence.

Charles Augins also choreographed the 'Tongue Tied' dance routine at the beginning of 'Parallel Universe'. The episode 'Queeg' is one of Norman Lovett's best episodes as Holly, with some very funny quotes like '6? Do me a lemon! That's a poor IQ for a glass of water!' and 'April, May, June, July and August fool'. I love the way he refers to the Knights as "horsies", Bishops as "bishs" and pawns as "prawns".

Ackerman is the butt of practical jokes from the prisoners, such as stealing his glass eye and putting a truth serum into his inhaler. Lister acidentally trashes his room when he is set up by Kryten in 'Krytie TV'.

Petersen is Lister's danish friend who is always drunk. He dies along with the rest of the crew and is resurected by the nanobots. He also appears in 'Stasis Leak' and in a flashback in "Balance of Power", along with Chen and Selby who are played by David Gillespie and Paul Bradley.
