She had originally been a supply officer on Red Dwarf. Carmen had transferred to the ship, the Leviathan. She was the last person on the Leviathan to contract Epideme, a parasitic virus. Her frozen body had been released by Lister and his chums at which point she slipped her tongue into Lister's mouth and left it there! The virus was passed on to Lister and Caroline Carmen was left to decompose in peace. (Series 7)

Captain Frank Hollister's photo of his wife however looks more like a publicity shot for Titan zoo. He apparently cheated and blackmailed his way up the ranks after starting out as Dennis the donut boy.

Answer: Yvonne McGruder

Yvonne was the ship's female boxing champion. When she made love to Rimmer, she was suffering from concussion and referred to Rimmer twice as "Norman" through their relationship. The relationship itself lasted all of twelve minutes which, of course, included the time it took to eat the pizza.

Rimmer did say he lost his virginity in his brothers car in the episode 'Marooned' but this was purely to attempt to show off in front of Lister.

Angus Lionel Thornton. Rimmer accessed the confidential crew files to find out all the above information about Thornton out so he could blackmail him and gain access to the artificial reality suite on Red Dwarf. (Series 8)

In life, George was a flight co-ordinator. His body was sent into outer space to the tune "See you later, Alligator". That evening, a welcome back party was held for George and he admitted he was quite moved from watching his own funeral. (Series 1)

Answer: Dave Lister

Dave Lister was found as a baby in a cardboard box beneath a pool table in the Aigburth Arms public house in Liverpool and adopted by Mr and Mrs Wilmot. In his late teens he was in the rock band, 'Smeg and the Heads'. He was put into stasis on Red Dwarf as a punishment for bringing an un-quarantined animal on board.

He was still in stasis when the rest of the crew died. Lister was released from stasis by Holly after the radiation faded... which took three million years.

Birdman was a prison inmate on floor 13 who after spending time in 'the hole' seemed to go a little do-lally. We never knew his real name. He was a Welshman who loved his pet sparrow, Pete. He carried on loving his pet even when Kryten managed to de-evolve Pete into a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Pete showed his love of Birdman back by eating him!

By being kept back a year as in Junior D at school, the Arnold Rimmer from the other dimension had learnt how to buckle down and work hard. He ended up as a test pilot for the Corps. When giving his opinions on the Rimmer aboard Red Dwarf he could only comment "The man's a maggot". When you see Ace though you can't help thinking to yourself "What a guy!"
