Rocko's Been "Canned" Trivia Quiz

Answer: Mr. Dupette

Mr. Dupette is normally Ed's boss at Conglom-O, but we see him here as a comic book store manager. He tells Rocko he's being promoted, but that they need to cut back on the workforce to decrease counter-productivity. Rocko's so confused by the terms that he isn't sure what it all means, to which Dupette screams, "You're fired!" Mr. Ickk is Bloaty's boss, and Mr. Smitty is Rocko's boss at his new job at Kind of A-Lot-O Comics.

Answer: A can of beans that says "Gloria"

A very unusual tattoo, and not just the picture, but the placement (where he'll never see it) and that Rocko has to apply it with a jackhammer. Rocko's then swallowed. Apparently, wallabies taste like chicken.

Answer: Pulls up the plumber's pants

All Rocko does is constantly pull up the plumber's saggy pants. The ad didn't say what they wanted the assistant for! Rocko thinks he'll make a lot of money, but obviously the work isn't satisfying, as he's immediately back to the wanted pages.

Answer: Mrs. Bighead

Based on his stilted-sounding "Oh baby" and the sign encouraging operators to be hot and naughty, he's actually a phone sex operator. Well, Joe Murray never said the show was made for kids! Rocko and Bev are equally horrified to hear each other's voices and hang up immediately, and Rocko's off to find a new job.

Answer: His eyes turn into noses.

Rocko gets all kinds of new noses, like a trunk and a bill, and he's pleased with them. Ed's angry at Rocko's success, so he tries the Nose Master on himself. As he has no nose, the machine turns his eyes into noses.

In "Nothing to Sneeze At", it's revealed that Ed and Bev can't smell. Bev accidentally gets a nose through surgery, and she loves most of what she smells, but it puts strain on their marriage because she finally knows that Ed stinks. To stay together, she has it removed.

Chewing a piece makes a tree grow out of Rocko's head. He loves it and says that everyone will want one. Ed chews a piece, which gives him a beehive, and a swarm of bees sting him. According to the sign, the gum costs $4119 M.

Answer: A buzz saw

Rocko gets a pompadour, braids, light bulbs, and a juicer. He loves them all. Ed gets a buzz cut, which puts a saw on his head (ha ha). Ed's plan to make Rocko suffer is really blowing up in his face, isn't it?

Answer: Flies caught in a web

As Rocko puts food into the juicer on his head, a spider falls in. The shot cuts to a bunch of flies, stuck in a web, cheering that the spider now won't eat them. At the end, they're revealed to be actors.

Answer: Mad giraffes

The repellent is "so new, it's untested" (which is why Rocko's there). Ed fully expects the product to fail and for giraffes to trample the wallaby. Fortunately for Rocko, the repellent works, and they run around him. Unfortunately for Ed, they keep running through the wall and trample HIM. After this happens, the cheering flies appear again. Then Ed fires Rocko.

Answer: He gives him Conglom-O gum.

After answering so many ads, Rocko finds a job by simply walking down the street. Mr. Dupette comes in and asks for comics and gum, so Rocko gives him the gene-enhancing kind. Dupette's head is turned into a beehive and he's chased by bees. After this, the flies cheer for the last time.
