Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Why does Ralph Bighead have to produce one more show for the studio?

Answer: He's under contract.

Ah, the dreaded contract. He's sick of the production system after creating almost 900 episodes of "The Fatheads" and wants to get on with his life. We first see "The Fatheads" and Ralph in the two-part season two episode "I Have No Son".
2. What is Ralph Bighead's art dream?

Answer: To carve the world's largest still life

The still life (which is generally a painting) he wants to carve is a very generic bowl of fruit with a bottle. After hearing a comment from Filburt, Ralph decides to get Rocko and his friends to make the show, hoping that it'll be so bad it'll fail.

In the season 4 episode "Mama's Boy", while Heffer is channel-surfing, he briefly lands on a clip of Ralph saying he wants to make real art.
3. Who is Heffer's "Wacky Delly" character?

Answer: Sal Ami

Heffer thinks he's so clever with that character name. Rocko's character is Betty Bologna. The cast performed part one of "Wacky Delly" live in Los Angeles in 2012, which is included in some DVD releases.
4. Who proclaims himself the best character on the show "Wacky Delly"?

Answer: The Cheese

Filburt calls his character Lester Roquefort, but Heffer simplifies the name to Mr. Cheese. Roquefort is a type of moldy cheese named after a region in France. The Cheese goes around saying "I am the Cheese! I am the best character on the show! I am better than both the salami and the bologna combined!"
5. Inserted into the pilot of "Wacky Delly" are live-action shots of what food?

Answer: Meatloaf

With the pilot's repeated animation, upside-down animation, crude backgrounds, wonky sound (which includes bad dubbing, yodelling, a cat meowing, and the Goofy scream), and random shots of real meatloaf being smashed by a woman with long fingernails, Ralph thinks that the pilot will be rejected by the executives. However, they love it. Cue horror from Ralph.

Carol Wyatt, the color supervisor, plays the woman in the meatloaf shots.
6. Ralph demands an episode of "Wacky Delly" that consists of ten minutes of what?

Answer: Mayonnaise

As "Wacky Delly" is Ralph's show, if he wants an episode of nothing but mayonnaise, he gets it. Instead of getting the show cancelled, the mayonnaise stunt is hailed as brilliant. In 2013, Nickelodeon announced the discovery of a lost "Rocko" episode to be aired at midnight on the night of March 31, which is the start of April Fool's Day.

The "episode" consisted of thirty minutes of mayonnaise.
7. When his first act of sabotage fails, Ralph messes up the next "Wacky Delly" episode by doing what?

Answer: Overexposing the film

Ralph hears Rocko and friends trying to transfer the film in the dark. They can't find it, and Heffer wants to turn on the lights to find it, which would expose the film. Ralph then opens the door with a spotlight behind him, ruining the film. Ralph tells them to run the episode as it is, convinced it will get the show cancelled; newspapers praise the ten minutes of black as genius.

During the scene, Filburt calls Heffer "Eisenstein", a reference to Sergei Eisenstein, an early filmmaker whose works inspired many editing techniques still used today.
8. What's Ed's plan for sabotaging "Wacky Delly"?

Answer: Flooding the studio

Ed just happens to have a device that can melt the polar ice caps, which will flood Hollo-Wood. By sheer coincidence, just before the water comes, Heffer's car gets a flat tire. He accidentally puts the jack under the studio, raising it high in the air just as the flood comes. Thus, the studio avoids complete obliteration, and "Wacky Delly" survives.
9. After hearing an inspiring speech from Rocko, Ralph decides to make "Wacky Delly" the best it can be. What does he add to the show?

Answer: Dancing

It's a parody of the "Chinese Dance" segment of "Fantasia" where mushrooms dance to ballet music. The show is immediately cancelled when audiences hate it. So, Ralph finally gets the show canned by trying to make it good.

Perhaps Ralph would have gotten better ratings if he'd done comedic ballet instead, like "The Concert". This half-hour ballet contains a segment, "Mistake Waltz", where dancers keep doing the wrong steps.
10. How long does it take Ralph to make his art masterpiece?

Answer: 10 years

He carves a still life in the desert with nothing but spoons. The first guy who sees it says it's all right, but that "Wacky Delly" was better. Only the first season, until "that new guy" (Ralph) ruined it. Poor Ralph--he'll always be haunted by his animated series.
