Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. As any fan of Seinfeld knows, Kramer is always coming up with crazy business ideas. In episode #31, "The Pez Dispenser", what business idea does Kramer come up with?

Answer: A cologne that smells like the beach.

Kramer's idea of a pizza parlor where you "make your own pie" is from episode #4, "Male Unbonding". His idea of a coffee table book about coffee tables comes in episode #74, "The Cigar Store Indian". Finally, his idea for an oil tanker bladder to prevent oil spills comes in episode #158, "The Voice".
2. In episode #32, "The Suicide", George is warned by a psychic to cancel his upcoming vacation, so he decides not to go. Kramer goes in his place and declares the trip "the greatest four days I ever spent in my life". Where did Kramer go for those four days?

Answer: The Cayman Islands

Kramer considers his trip to the Cayman Islands as the "greatest four days" of his life mostly due to the fact that "they were shooting the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue right in the hotel pool". He also says that "they opened up this area on the beach for nude bathing and all of the Sports Illustrated models went down there", and that he "was on the next blanket from Elle MacPherson".
3. In episode #33, "The Fix-Up", Maggie Wheeler guest stars as Cynthia, the woman who Elaine and Jerry "fix" George up with. Maggie Wheeler also made numerous guest starts on what other popular NBC sitcom?

Answer: Friends

Maggie Wheeler played the recurring character of Janice (OH MY GOD!) on "Friends". She appeared in about 20 episodes over the show's 10 seasons. Her most recent appearance was in "The One Where Estelle Dies", which was one of the final episodes of the popular NBC sitcom.
4. In episode #34, "The Boyfriend (1)", what is the date of the baseball game where Keith Hernandez allegedly spit on Kramer and Newman?

Answer: June 14, 1987

The spitting reconstruction with Kramer and Newman is one of my favorite scenes ever in "Seinfeld". Now you don't need to have ever watched "Seinfeld" or even the movie "J.F.K." to know that this scene was takeoff of the JFK conspiracy. Oddly enough, Wayne Knight (Newman) was in the movie "J.F.K." and his character was used in Kevin Costner's demonstration on how there was likely a second shooter.
5. In episode #35, "The Boyfriend (2)", Keith Hernandez tells Kramer and Newman that he didn't spit on them. He says that spitter was "behind the bushes over by that gravely road". Who does Keith say was the spitter?

Answer: Roger McDowell

After Keith tells Kramer and Newman that it was Roger McDowell, Jerry asks, "But why? Why McDowell?" Kramer responds by saying, "maybe because we were sitting in the right field stands cursing at him in the bullpen all game". Newman adds that McDowell "must have caught a glimpse of us when I poured that beer on his head".
6. In episode #36, "The Limo", George and Jerry get in a limo at an airport that's suppposed to be for a person named O'Brien. Now if your a devoted fan of Seinfeld you probably know that George pretended to be O'Brien and that Jerry assumed the name of Murphy. However, do you know the first names that George and Jerry made up for O'Brien and Murphy?

Answer: Colin and Dylan

Just before they get in the limo George decides that he's going to be Colin O'Brien, while Jerry elects to go with the name of Dylan Murphy. And an interesting note about this episode - the woman they pick up on the way to the neo-Nazi conference is named Eva. Why is that significant? Eva Braun was the name of Hitler's girlfriend during WWII. Given the cleverness of the "Seinfeld" writers I'm sure that that was intended and not a coincidence.
7. Episode #37, "The Good Samaritan", begins with Jerry witnessing someone crash into a parked car and then just drive off. When Kramer hears about the incident he says the hit-and-run driver should be sent to what country?

Answer: Australia

This is the only episode of "Seinfeld" that was directed by Jason Alexander.
8. In episode #38, "The Letter", Jerry finds out that his new girlfriend, Nina, is a plagiarist after he hears the words she wrote in a letter, on television. What Neil Simon comedy does Jerry discover Nina has taken the content of the letter from?

Answer: Chapter Two

This episode is the third episode in which Elaine's boss, Mr. Lippman, makes an appearance. The first episode with Mr. Lippman was episode #22, "The Library". In that episode Mr. Lippman was played by Harris Shore, however, that was Shore's only appearance on "Seinfeld" as the role of Mr. Lippman was assumed by Richard Fancy in episode #29, "The Red Dot".
9. In episode #39, "The Parking Space", gets into a confrontation about a parking space with a friend of Kramer's named Mike. Mike also showed up in another episode later in the series. What was the name of the episode?

Answer: "The Susie"

The character of Mike was played by Lee Arenberg. He would appear on "Seinfeld" again five years after "The Good Samaritan" in episode #149, "The Susie". In "The Susie" Mike has become a bookie and through a series of events that unfold in typical "Seinfeld" fashion, ends up locked in the trunk of Jerry's car with two broken thumbs.
10. In episode #40, "The Keys", Kramer moves to Los Angeles and gets a bit part playing a secretary in an episode of Murphy Brown. What is the name of the character Kramer plays?

Answer: Steven Snell

This episode first aired on May 6, 1992, and was the season finale of the third season of "Seinfeld." This was the first full season of the show as the first and second seasons had only 4 and 12 episodes respectively.
