Answer: The Tulip

Travis and Percy Montana are cousins, each having a certain claim to the Tulip courtesy of the earlier captain, Dante, who was the father of one and the uncle of the other. Callie (Callista) Larkadia is a bounty hunter who travels with them. Rudolpho DeLuna is an earlier owner and Marcus Fagen a young friend and associate of Travis.

River and Simon Tam were siblings aboard Serenity and Mal Reynolds (Serenity's captain) and Inara Serra (Companion) had a complex relationship that didn't include marriage.

The Tardis appeared in the two 1960s movies "Doctor Who and the Daleks" and "Daleks - Invasion Earth 2150 AD", both starring Peter Cushing. It also popped up in the "Doctor Who" movie "The Enemy Within" in 1995. Paul McGann starred as the Doctor in his single on-screen outing.

However, he has made many audio adventures for Big Finish and has also appeared in novels and graphic work. Serenity appeared in the movie "Serenity" in 2005.

Answer: They are all old, and in need of repair

Tulip has been in hyperspace and the Tardis was in N-space for a while, but it seems Serenity flies in normal space/time. Only Serenity is a Firefly... The Tardis is a Type 40, and the Tulip an ex-luxury liner. The Tardis is stolen, but Mal Reynolds bought Serenity and Tulip, though of slightly doubtful ownership, isn't stolen.

However, all three ships need constant repairs and are inclined to break down spectacularly.

Gina Torres starred as Zoe Warren (married name Washburne) in "Firefly". She is tall, and starred in the spin off "Serenity".
Wendy Padbury starred as Zoe Heriot in "Doctor Who". She is small, and didn't appear in the spin off movie "The Enemy Within".

Strictly speaking, the Tardis had no captain, and the "permanent" crew was never bigger than four. Shaped like a police box in most episodes, the Tardis was very deceptive. It could also travel in time, which Serenity couldn't. The Tulip's skipping into hyperspace might be classified as time travel... but that is open to interpretation.

The Tulip from "Starhunter 2300" is a bounty hunters' ship. Serenity (from "Firefly") takes on varied jobs, but few of them could be termed bounty hunting. The Tardis (from "Doctor Who") is used more for travelling. The Doctor takes on a few commissions, but usually reluctantly, and not for profit.

Callie is one of the Mars Larkadias, a daughter of an aristocratic family who has cut most ties on Mars to travel the galaxy as a bounty hunter.

Steven, Peri and Barbara all travelled with the Doctor, although at different times. Kaylee, Book and Inara all travelled in Serenity, as did Zoe. Callie and Marcus were from the Tulip, while Sam, Daniel and Teal'c are from "Stargate SG1" and seldom used a ship at all, although they did sometimes fly in the Prometheus.
