Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Stargate SG-1": Teal'c starts suffering from a series of dreams where he is a human fireman, "T," preparing to donate a kidney. "Star Trek: Original Series": The Enterprise encounters Nomad, a probe, who erases Uhura's memory and kills Scotty.

Answer: The Changeling

"Stargate's" "The Changeling" was written by none other than Christopher Judge, who plays Teal'c. This episode was mildly confusing, leaving viewers doubting which scenes were real and which were dreams. In the obvious dream scenes, Teal'c did not sport the forehead symbol.
2. "Stargate SG-1": Jonas begins to see the future, but his attempts to alter it make things worse. "Star Trek: Voyager": A Klingon ship's crew believes B'Elanna's unborn child is their saviour as foreseen by their religious scrolls and prophecies.

Answer: Prophecy

Actress Roxann Dawson (B'Elanna) of "Star Trek: Voyager" became pregnant early in shooting season 7. Since the character was in a relationship with Tom Paris, the producers had them marry so they could include the pregnancy in the storyline.
3. "Stargate SG-1": SG-1 battle to save Kelowna (Jonas's home world) from Anubis and prevent him from learning the secrets of n'quadriah. "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine": Kira and O'Brien try to rescue a famed Bajoran resistance fighter from a Cardassian slave-labour colony in an attempt to bring peace to the warring Bajoran factions.

Answer: Homecoming

"Star Trek's" "The Homecoming" is part 1 of a three part story arc that began the second season.
The scenes with Anubis' ship over Kelowna in "Stargate's" "Homecoming" are a tribute to "Independence Day."
4. "Stargate SG-1": SG-1 attempts to help a group of female Jaffa warriors by offering them tretonin. "Star Trek: Next Generation": Believing his father may still be alive, Worf discovers a colony of survivers from Kittomer.

Answer: Birthright

Jolene Blalock, who plays Ishta in "Stargate's" "Birthright" also stars as T'Pol on "Star Trek: Enterprise."
In "Star Trek's" "Birthright," James Cromwell, better known from his roles in "Babe" and as Zefram Cochrane in "Star Trek: First Contact" makes a guest appearance as Jaglom Shrek. And of course, Alexander Siddig crosses over in his role of Dr. Bashir from "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine."
5. "Stargate SG-1": Daniel is taken hostage when he goes to South American in search of an alien device, while Carter and Teal'c investigate the powerful appearance of a new enemy. "Star Trek: Next Generation": A system-wide computer malfunction places the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in grave danger while they are escorting a scientist to a star in the process of exploding.

Answer: Evolution

"Stargate's" "Evolution" is a two-part episode.
"Star Trek's" "Evolution," "Home Soil" and "Emergence" are all about a new species found or created, and the question of sentience eventually comes up.
6. "Stargate SG-1": Five days in the life of SGC as Jack assumes full command of the base and has to deal with a multitude of problems. "Star Trek: Enterprise": Archer leads a team to stop the Xindi weapon before it reaches Earth. Meanwhile, Enterprise will have to face the Sphere Builders.

Answer: Zero Hour

Some of Jack's problems to deal with in "Stargate's" "Zero Hour" include a rapidly growing alien plant, the capture of SG-1 by Ba'al, arguing alien delegates, and a tricky traitorous System Lord.
7. "Stargate SG-1": A rich industrialist has evidence to prove that there is alien life on other planets and is giving the governments of the world 24 hours to reveal the truth or he's revealing it. "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine": Dukat tries to persuade Kira to join a cult that worships the Pah-wraiths when she is unexpectedly transported to Empok Nor.

Answer: Covenant

Empok Nor from "Star Trek's" "Covenant" was first seen in the episode "Empok Nor."
8. "Stargate SG-1": Samantha Carter begins a relationship with a detective, from whom she must hide her life at Stargate Command. Daniel comes face to face with the Goa'uld who has taken his former girlfriend as a host. "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine": Odo meets another shapeshifter, whom he recognises as one of the 100 infants sent out to learn about other species and cultures.

Answer: Chimera

Have you noticed how Daniel has bad luck with girls and the Goa'uld? His wife Shau're became Apophis's mate Amonet and his girlfriend Sarah became Osiris.
Odo first learned of the other shapeshifters sent out in the episode "The Search, Part 2." He also encountered another infant in "The Begotten."
9. "Stargate SG-1": Major Kowalski is overtaken by a Gou'ald symbiote. "Star Trek: Original Series": A transporter malfunction produces an evil Kirk twin, and the rest of the landing party are stranded in freezing conditions.

Answer: The Enemy Within

Though I've tried to only include actual episode names either from the "Star Trek" series in question or "Stargate," I couldn't resist adding "Doppelgangland" from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." This is an episode about an evil twin of Willow. It seemed appropriate.
10. "Stargate SG-1": The stargate is missing, and leads point to the Trust, the shadowy figures formerly associated with the rogue NID. "Star Trek: Voyager": After a decades-long journey to reach the Alpha Quadrant, Admiral Kathryn Janeway makes a bold decision to change the past in an attempt to bring Voyager home.

Answer: Endgame

Two-parter "Endgame" is the series finale for "Star Trek: Voyager." The last line spoken by Janeway, "Set a course for home" is identical to the last line at the end of the first episode, "Caretaker."
