"Deep Space Nine's" "Paradise Lost" is part two, following the episode "Homefront". Guest star Robert Foxworth was supposed to reprise his role of General Hague on "Babylon 5" at the same time he shot "Deep Space Nine". He could not do both, so "Babylon 5" creator and executive producer J. Michael Straczynski had the Hague character written out of the script for "Severed Dreams" and killed off.
