Ken and Nick were talking about how the yard sale had nothing but junk until Nick saw the bongos. Then he said the yard sale rocked. Ken commented that the bongos would bring the Andopolis drum set to an even 30. Nick corrected him by saying 31, since there are two bongos. I love Nick's comment about the books in the yard sale, "Why do people save their books, it's not like you can read a book twice."

Nick and Ken go into Nick's basement to find a practically empty space where Nick's drums used to be. Ken asks an astonished Nick, "Um, Nick, where are your drums?" Mr. Andopolis sold Nick's drums because Nick didn't listen to his father when he told him to clean up his act because his school grades were awful.

Neal is explaining what happens in the second half of "Stripes", when Cindy comes up. Cindy tells Sam that she just broke up with Todd, and Sam says he's sorry. She says, "Don't be" because Todd's a jerk. Cindy asks if Sam's going to be home that night and that she'll call him. Then she gives him a kiss on the cheek.

The freaks were discussing Nick sleeping on Daniel's floor while they were in the cafeteria. Nick asked Ken and Lindsay to stay at their houses. They both said their dads wouldn't allow it. That evening, Nick comes by Lindsay's house while they're eating dinner and after he tells Mr. Weir that he's been sleeping on floors, Mr. Weir invites Nick to stay at their house, much to Lindsay's chagrin.

When Bill first tells Sam what Cindy said, Sam doesn't believe it, and then he says he's scared to ask her. He finally goes to ask her and is pleasantly surprised when she says yes. He's even more surprised when she kisses him, on the lips this time.

Harold tells Nick that if he's serious about drumming, he should take lessons to learn the correct way. He loans Nick the money, but Nick will be working it off at Mr. Weir's sporting goods store.

Sam didn't know what kind of party it was until Harris said "Everyone wants to go to a makeout party" in response to Bill commenting that he didn't want to go. When discussing Gordon and Harris going to the party as well as Neal and Bill, Harris said he had a date with Judith, and every night's a makeout party with them. They get into a detailed discussion on french kissing.

Prior to the party, Neal had shown Bill how he had been practicing spinning a bottle and had refined his technique on getting just the right amount of torque so it would land on his target. When Bill and Neal get into the Spin the Bottle game at the party, Neal's spins land on Bill everytime and he never gets to kiss anyone.

Vicki really doesn't want to go in the laundry room which is serving as the location for seven minutes in heaven. Bill tries to make small talk with her and she tells him he's definitely not going to kiss her. Bill tells her she's acting like a jerk and he doesn't even want to be in there with her. Vicki apologizes and the two begin to talk.

After Bill makes her laugh, Vicki says "What the hell" and starts kissing him. Neal starts knocking on the door and says their seven minutes were over five minutes ago. Bill's apparent success, and Neal's unsuccessful attempts to make out with someone prompt his exasperated "This party sucks".
